Characters Roaming Disneyland Hotel

I've seen that sometimes characters show up in the lobby or around the grounds at Disneyland Hotel. I can't find these times posted on the Disneyland app - are there specific times that they appear, or is it more of a spontaneous thing?

we saw and interacted with Goofy as he randomly appeared in the lobby and at the pool; I don't recall seeing anyone else

I believe there is a schedule but only the hotel has it. If you ask them at check in they might be able to tell you around what time to come by the lobby

Never seen a schedule but that doesn't mean there isn't one. We frequently see Goofy and last year saw either Chip or Dale. It's been my impression (could be wrong) that you may see the same characters that are present at the character meals at Goofy's at the DLH. I know that has been the case for us, anyway.

I've normally seen them around 3. I think they tend to be there when the restaurant shuts down from lunch -dinner opening. We've encountered Goofy multiple times and Chip and Dale.

We saw Pluto on the bridge above the pool area earlier this week.
