Characters not showing in MDE?

We leave on Friday and not all characters are showing in MDE for me now!! All of the Dino Bash characters; Scrooge, Launchpad, etc are not showing in my app but are showing on the times guide for today online. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no luck. This was a fairly loosely planned last minute trip so I planned on relying heavily on MDE app and am freaking out that it will be a disaster. I have a s9 with Sprint.

First, take a breath. Your trip will not be a disaster because you can't look up characters on the app. As you've already said, it's available on the times guide.

It's likely a glitch that will correct itself.

You talking about Character Schedules on MDE?
If so, don't bother. They are one of the weakest parts and really not worth the time to look up.
Get a times guide when you reach the park or subscribe to the character locator website. They won't steer you wrong

I honestly didn't know you could even view them in the MDE. MDE often is glitchy and stuff will be missing or not loading correctly. Even if the MDE didn't work at all, your trip wouldn't be a disaster. The MDE app is merely a tool to help you with your trip. It's not a necessity and certainly won't ruin your trip. To go along with that, I wouldn't rely so heavily on the app.

It's awful. It's been steering us wrong all week. Thank goodness for character locator to get the real times (or a times guide but I'm not even sure where to get one of those). One thing of note is that it appears that the MDE app only shows characters after they come out for their first set. Which is not helpful if you're trying to avoid the lines. I thought that character locator was losing it's usefulness because last year MDE was good for having the set times. Not anymore. CL let us be first in line for Fairy Godmother, Belle, and Buzz which was lovely.

I find the latest MDE update unusable in the parks. Thanks for all the ads Disney but I'd really like the info I need without having to wade through them or pick up a piece of paper. Instead of getting rid of plastic straws how about making your electric data correct so you don't have to print paper.

Oh you can also ask any CM to check the guys that is handed out each morning. It is the most up to date and will mention any characters missing that day

Is everyone referring to Kenny the pirates character app? I do have a subscription to touring plans but have never looked into a character locator app and we used mde a few years ago without issues. If mde is failing everyone will making additional fps be an issue for us?, that is what I am relying on for the most part!

No, no one ever mentioned any issues with FP.
Simply characters.
It's never been reliable or complete regarding characters.
