Characters in Certain Epcot Countries?

I read on an earlier post how some people met the Genie from Aladdin all the way in the back of Morocco.

Can someone tell me if there are special places in each country to look for certain characters? On our last trip we ran into Brother Bear in Canada, but it was by accident & we hadn't even seen the movie yet!

I've got an excel spreadsheet with tons of worksheets & I'd love to add something like this to it!

World Showcase can be a fun place to find characters! Characters appear roughly until late afternoon (maybe 5:00/6:00ish?), not too many meet later than 6:00. By country you have:

Canada - like you said, Brother Bears Kenai and Koda appear here. We saw them right on the main sidewalk, couldn't miss them. Not sure if they appear up the stairs farther into Canada.

England - There is a toy store, it is off the main path, I think it's called the Toy Soldier. In the back, character appear off and on during the day. Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger are usually there; Mary Poppins and Alice are around, too. Piglet and the rare Rabbit sometimes pop in. These characters could also be outside on the sidewalks, or in the Courtyard where bands plays.

France - Belle and Aurora are frequently here, usually near the water in a little garden area behind the stores. Sometimes Beast is there. Rare ones include Esmeralda and even Cinderella. Hunchback characters used to be here but haven't heard of any in awhile. Sometimes the characters are on the main sidewalk, and sometimes inside the "Library" room next to the garden.

Morocco - Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie meet here, usually on the main sidewalk near the water. They also can meet way in the back of the pavillion, across from the entrance to Marakkesh restaurant.

American Adventure - this area could be used for a large group of random characters.

Italy - Geppetto and maybe Gideon appear here sometimes

Germany - Snow White and maybe Dopey appear here on the main sidewalk. VERY rarely do all the dwarves appear here!

Ourpost - We seen Rafiki and Timon here on the main sidewalk, not sure how often they are there

China - Mulan and Mushu appear here sometimes. They can be in the back area near the gift shops, or closer to the Show entrance. It can vary!

Mexico - The Three Caballeros just appeared here! Donald, Jose, and Panchito have been seen!

Probably missed a character or two, but World Showcase can be a great place to find some characters! Hope you find some!

We saw all of those except Timon and Rafiki last week. It was great. We met them all between 1pm and 5pm. We saw Esmerelda in Dec at France last year, but she wasn't there this trip.

The Epcot maps I have from last year have a few of those Mickey hand icons, that means a meet and greet area. I would have to check the map again, but I am pretty sure that not all countries had one, so there are some surprise meet and greets. I guess it depends on which characters are available that day.

The hands on the map don't correspond to all the meet & greet areas currently happening in EPCOT - World Showcase (I have a map right here from Saturday) - and know from being in EPCOT frequenly -

The only "HANDS" on the map in WS are in the area in Morocco where you will sometimes find the Aladdin characters, and the location in France where you will find Belle, Aurora, and/or Beast (not all are there all the time)

Recently the ONLY country that I have never seen a character (outside of a character meal) has been Norway (well that and for us the American Pavilion, but that's just been not being in the right place at the right time for us)

HugsforEeyores list is very complete (of course - she's the GURU!) - I do think I read recenly (in the past few days) that Timon may not be at the Outpost any longer, but we did see hime two weeks ago there.....

The other EPCOT locations on the map ar Character Connection and Figment meeting area outside of Imageworks near the jumping fountains. There is one near Mission Space - that was where you could see Mickey and Goofy (I think) in space suits, but again - I believe that was another one mentioned on the retired from active duty list I saw!


From my recent observations they are "mixing" some things up in some of the parks as far as characters are concerned. So something someone saw in May or June, may not necessarily be the same now -

We were in EPCOT on Friday 9/22. We went to the Mickey hand icon in Morocco, only to find no Jasime there. We were told by a CM that they generally appear by the lake. We went and got a drink, and lo and behold, Jasmine and Aladdin appeared by the lake as promised. They did move to a shadier spot by a fountain shortly after our pics were taken. So characters are not always by the Mickey Hand Icons!

We also found Snow White in Germany, and Mulan in China. We did go to Askerhus for lunch, and met Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Cindy and Jasmine again.

I can't find the post, but I read yesterday that Timon and Rafiki have been retired from appearing in Epcot. They'll still be at the other parks of course.

Oh! We just got back, and didn't even go through Mexico. Maybe they'll still be out when we go in Dec.
