Characters in Bloom

We are making a quick weekend trip from May 18-21 which is is during the Flower festival. Anyways, that specific weekend is called Characters in Bloom and says there are more characters out than ever at Epcot.

Has anybody been during this weekend? Will we just see the regular characters or will we run into some of the rarer characters?

Last year, Epcot had lots of characters for Characters In Bloom, with some rare ones in there, too! Someone here on the DIS posted photos of the pink Hippo from Fantasia and the ostrich from Fantasia, too. I think also the seven dwarves were in Germany, and many other characters scattered about.

As for this year, no one knows for sure, but hopefully Disney will have some good characters out!!

I actually saw all seven dwarves at MK just outside the Railroad overpass (I believe they call that area the Esplanade), but they were just about ready to go in, and I could not wait for them. All I needed was two more dwarf autographs before I could complete the Snow White section of my sketchbook.

we always go for the CIB weekend!! Last year they brought the double decker bus full of charcters to the front of Epcot....we saw the 7 dwarves, Timon, the ostrich, the hippos...and lots more!
