Characters at resorts?

On our recent trip to WDW, we stumbled upon Lilo and Stich in the lobby of Beach Club.

My question - are there other characters at resorts? Thanks for any help!

My first trip, Goofy was in the CR lobby That was a nice start to my first Disney experience

And my second trip, Tigger, Goofy, & Max came to the CR pool and actually swam. Tigger got stuck down the slide and ******* kids were tackling Max, so they left after a while

After that, I haven't seen a character at a resort (besides Character Dining of coruse)

Ok, I don't think SWIMMING characters are a good idea (but it sure would have been fun to watch). I hate it when I hear of people abusing the characters.

Well, let's see if anyone else knows of any more characters at resorts.

We bumped into Alice and the Mad Hatter at the GF lobby. It was a very cool surprise

I met Minnie Mouse everyday at Pch Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel! She even gave me a card when i left.She put a picture of her in the card and wright: To my dear friend Camilla. Thank you so much for your visit . I am happy to see you again. I hope you are having fun in Disneyland. Love, Minnie Mouse xoxo.
I started to cry. I actually get a gift from my lovely real Minnie Mouse!!! I am Minnies biggest fan in the world. If you want you can visit my website and read about me. This was a big dream came true for me.
Then i gave her a card. : My sunshine maker, you are my sun,my sky, my heart, my life, my future , my everything. I will never forget you, i will stay in my heart forever. From your Biggest fan and dear friend Camilla.
Then we said good bye. And it was my Magical Birthday .

At SSR we did not have anyone!

Only time recently that I seen characters at the resorts (not part of a character meal) was during hurricane Wilma back in October 2005. I was staying at POR. The morning that Wilma came through, the parks were closed so everyone was at the resort, and the food court was a madhouse! Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and I think Pluto were meeting in the main building, alternating in pairs. I was a tad disappointed that there weren't some rare characters out, that we got only the super commons. I never greeted them since the line was a mile long!

The only other times we saw characters at the hotel was back when Disney was doing the Character Caravan at the resorts, back in late 2001/2002. That was when the characters came to the resorts instead of having an early Extra Magic Hour, as a cost saving measure. My nephew liked it, as he would scan the lobby in the mornings to see who was there!

But that is so cool to see Lilo and Stitch at Beach Club!
