Characters at meals pictures

How do you take pictures with characters at buffets? Do you stay seated or do you get up to take a photo? We have a toddler and often times it's tedious to take him out of his seat for a picture so we will just crowd around him sitting for a group shot? What does everyone else do??

We did both, seated and standing up. Lighting in the restaurant plays a big part. Our pictures at Crystal Palace were fantastic from all angles because it's so bright...other places, not so much.

It was really dark in Ohana taking pictures! Just so you know. And my two year old would not and could not be expected to sit down while Mickey and other characters came over. The character interactions were awesome

I've seen people sit, stand, gather around. Whatever works. If you want your toddler seated, try to get him into a seat that makes it easier for the characters to stand behind or next to him. It always seems to work out. It's like the characters have a sense for what you need/want.

They will pretty much work with and take the picture any way you want. I have pictures both ways and the kids are older. The handlers are always will to work with you to get the best pictures you can get.

We have pictures of my kids standing next to the characters mostly. We have a 2yr old and we had him in a high chair at the end of our table so at Tusker House, we had the big kids standing and the 2yr old was in the high chair next to Mickey etc. Pictures didn't turn our well but that is because we hurried through our pics and didn't realize the pictures weren't focused. But it was still cute seeing our 2yr old holding Mickeys hand even in a high chair.
