We just returned from our Christmas trip and there were characters all over the parks. We made a trip last Thanksgiving and there were not as many characters out then. We saw so many it would be hard to list them all. Some highlights were Lilo and Stitch, Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, Baloo, King Louie. They were all over. Get those autograph books and pens ready! :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I experienced the same thing when I was there around the same time. Another thing I noticed was that since there were so many more characters, the lines to meet them were much shorter than they have been in the past, especially at MK. I know there were also a lot of rarer characters out like Little John, Big Al, Malificent, and the Queen from Snow White.

yes yes yes! I am so glad to hear that. Since we are heading down in 38 days, 9 hours and 57 min ( not too excited here) it good to know. Especially since I am an adult and don't like pushing little ones to the ground just to take a picture with Tigger...just kidding...but the last time I was in WDW it was summer and there are more kids and I like their trips to be magical. yipppeeee...I am so excited! Plus....i like that there are rare ones coming out too.

We just returned on 12/17 and I couldn't believe how many characters were out & about!! In fact, we ran into Mickey, Goofy and Pluto in the Animal Kingdom (back near the Dinosaur attraction) and there was NO ONE there! I couldn't believe my eyes. I guess it was empty because the area is "off the beaten track" and not many guests expect to see characters there.

So, for all of those who are going to the world in the upcoming months.......KEEP YOUR CAMERAS HANDY!!!

We experienced this same thing this past June even with the deluge of rain! It was so much fun. My DH ran into "literally" Pocahontas in Frontierland.....she was just milling about with no one around her.

There were SO many characters that my daughter asked (after only the first day) if she could leave her autograph book behind... she didn't want any more autographs... she actually got to the point where she didn't even want to stop to see the characters either!

It was so nice to see all the characters earlier this month, even if it was just my DH and me! I hope people with kids weren't turned off by us adults ("kids at heart") getting autographs and pictures, and even some pretty nice hugs from them! We really enjoyed ourselves! :bounce:

Do you think it's possible (this is just a theory remember) that the characters enjoy the break once in a while when an adult comes over for a picture? I would think an occasional break from being pulled on or pushed at or even a hysterical two year old would be a bit of a relief.

We even saw some characters in what seemed like unlikely places, like under the people mover track at the entrance to Tomorrowland, there were a lot of them here. It was nice to see so manyout as the lines were a lot shorter, except for Buzz, I think everyone wanted to see him.
