I was wondering if the cast of the shows, like Beauty and the Beast, changes, and if people in the cast work 7 days a week. Also, the a cappella group that opens the show, 4 for a dollar (or whatever their name is) is always there! Or, is it that we're just lucky enough to catch them every time?!?! I know we've seen the same Belle for a few trips in a row, and while the leads in the Festival of the Lion King seem to change, I definitely recognize some of the dancers and the slilt guys from several years worth of trips!
What's the deal?

I doubt they work 7 days a week. I think you have been lucky to see some of the same people.

I think for main parts, such as Belle, Gaston, etc. they have a couple actors that switch out. I know I read an article in Disney magazine about the singer in Tarzan Rocks. I believe they had 2 full-time men for this, although I have seen 2 different ones from the man in the article. I have seen the same Belle and Gaston in B&B on every trip so far. I think they are just scheduled like in any other job....they have some days off, and the other actor takes those days. 4 for a dollar has one or two days off I've heard...I want to say Sun. and Mon. but I don't really remember. Of course, the cast may also seem different if someone quits, switches parts, etc. and they have recast that part.

The actors who portray folks like Belle and Ariel on stage do not work seven days a week -- each show has at least two complete casts so that the show can be performed seven days a week. Many of the cast members also know other shows as well. For example, one of the Tarzan singers may be in your Hoop Dee Doo show a couple of nights later.

Four for a Dollar also has a series of subs and additional singers so that they can perform daily.

I'm a puppeteer for Voyage of the Little Mermaid and can confirm that there are as many as 5 different mermaids in a day.

I'm not sure how B&TB works, but I'm sure the leads have a handful of alternates. I also used to work as an attractions hostess at the Festival of TLK at AK, and each of the 4 main singer roles had 4 or 5 different performers who appeared at any given time. Usually each role had one singer for the morning shows and one for the afternoon/evening shows.
