For those of you needing dDsney souvenirs for much cheaper than the Parks offer, don't forget about the Character Warehouse and the Wal-Mart on Euclid has a nice Mickey and Friends department too!

I went there in August and got some good deals, including a really nice fleece for 19.99. I also had a discount coupon I got from the Orange County Website. When I was there they had some princess costumes too.

Can you give me an idea of where this WalMart and Character Warehouse are? Hubby is from Redondo Beach so I am sure he is familiar enough with the area. I would love to get a fleece for $19.99!

Character Warehouse is up Harbor Blvd on the right side in a shopping mall on Orangethorpe I believe. Mousesavers.com has a 10% off coupon for that as well and great directions. The Wal-Mart is on Euclid and I find the easiest wat to get there is take I-5 north just 1 mile and get off on Euclid. It's right there on the corner on the right. Both are very easy to get to and then back to the DLR.

Be aware though, the Character Warehouse is in Fullerton, NOT Anaheim!!

Yes, this is true but it not very far from the DLR....I'd say 10 minute drive or less? But yes, you do cross from Anaheim into Fullerton during that short drive....

Just to toss in my 2 cents on this one that there is what seems to be a Disney outlet store at Ontario Mills about 30 minutes E of DL. We got some excellent deals there a couple of weeks ago (T-Shirts 3 for $18, Kids Dash Sneakers for $6, Halloween Costumes normally $40+ for $25).

Shop at the Disney Character Warehouse outlet. You can get great deals on Disney merchandise at this outlet store a little over 3 miles from Disneyland. For basic Disney souvenirs, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts and mugs, you can't beat the prices. Disney's Character Warehouse is located at 233 Orangefair Mall. To get to the Disney Character Warehouse from Disneyland, go north on Harbor Blvd and cross Hwy 91. Make a right at Orangethorpe and another right at Pomona, which is a street that goes right into the Orangefair Marketplace shopping center. A Michael's store is right in front of you; drive toward it and then go left to get to the Character Warehouse, which is at the corner of the building.

According to Yahoo it's 37 miles (about 43 minutes), primarily 19 milles N on Highway 57 and then 15 miles E on Interstate 10 to the Milliken Avenue exit

Basically, it's about what you're used to at most outlet stores, subject to stock on hand for mainly clothing items. There is a small stock of toys and knick-knacks. Right now it's got a lot of Halloween costumes about 25% below catalog prices.
