:confused3 OK, I have never herd of this before so I am going to ask... Is there a place/program that you can have a character tuck your child in bed at night??:confused3

Absolutely not. That would kind of creep me out actually! Can you imagine gigantic Winnie the Pooh hovering over your bed.

I don't think it would work, could you imagine the commotion in the hallways, he'd be mobbed!! The poor character would never make it to the intended room much less out of the lobby of the hotel!

That's what I was thinking. I read the subject line and I had this mental image of my son cowering under the blanket in fear while Mickey's giant head takes up half the hotel room.

I am laughing so hard at your responses that I have tears running down my face!!! :rotfl2: I was thinking the same thing, how scary that would be to have someone who does not talk, bigger than life, tucking you in to bed.

I agree with PPaczki - I am still laughing, thank you! I have visions of our then 3 year old daughter running up to Winnie the Pooh at MGM 10 years ago, stopping dead in her tracks when she got within about 2 feet and turning around to run the other way. Pooh (must have) felt so bad, he (she?) took off after our daughter and caught her within a few yards and gave her a big hug. She was terrified, but got over it pretty quickly fortunately...we have it on videotape.....

I read abt this here a llooonng time ago...think its just an icky rumor.....characters(real people) tucking in your children, in their beds??? Dont think sooo....

there was somewhere on the travel channel where they had someone (not a costumed character but I can't remember who they were supposed to be) reading the kids a bedtime story and tucking them in. no idea where, but it definitely wasn't disney world.

They used to (maybe still do?) have a channel on the television that had Disney characters telling bedtime stories at night. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.

Not to mention being skeeved out about all the germs floating around the costumes before bed.

Too funny! :rotfl: I guess I am not as paranoid as you people are... It wouldn't be this character in the room ALONE with my child!!! My kids are not afraid of any character, so that is no problem either! But I didn't think of all the germs on that costume in my room!!!

I know this isn't possible, because it if were, DH would have Jasmine tuck him in each night. :lmao:

At the DisneyLAND resort hotels, there is a channel devoted to disney cartoons and they are interspersed with Disney Princess Bedtime Stories. The Princess, as a person, tells her story as a bedtime story. Its actually very sweet and is a favorite thing to watch before bed when we are there.

Could this be the source of the rumor?

yeah, and I would have Tarzan from DCL come over....:lmao:

Oh, he is yummy, isn't he?

I remember right one day after they first converted the treehouse, and Tarzan was brand new. This little girl, she couldn't have been more than four or five, walked up to him and ran her fingers over his six-pack! It was hysterical! She was facinated with him! And the look on his face was just as funny. It was like "OMG, what do I do now? They didn't cover this in orientation!!"

Ever since then, I've noticed that when ever I do see Tarzan, he's wearing some type of flesh colored unitard.

I am pretty sure that Travelodge in Kissimmee had a program where thier mascot the Brown Bear would tuck kids in at night....I remember the ads that used to be in those ORlando discount fliers.
