Character timing?

This will be the first time I'm taking a small child who is interested in meeting characters, specifically Pooh and tigger. Do they meet during the entire time frame listed, or do they take breaks in there?

We're trying to weigh being able to just meet them versus a reservation at CP.

They take about 2-5 minute breaks every 15-30 minutes depending on time of year/weather

Be aware that Pooh and Tigger's line can be long. If they are a priority, I would get there 10 to 15 minutes before their first set.
If you have a small character obsessed child- I would recommend a subscription to Kenny the Pirates character locator. It will tell you when and where to meet the characters, and it will give you tips of when to do so to avoid long lines. My DD was character obsessed for years- they were more important to her than any ride or show- and it was a lifesaver. In my experience, he is actually more accurate than the official Disney app.

Crystal Palace in MK for breakfast is one of our favorites. You will also see Eeyore and Piglet.

I also second that the CP is a great character meet and greet. For about the same time as waiting, if seeing each character individually, you will also get a good meal. The character interaction of all of them is wonderful. Check out some youtube videos -- I know WDWcouple just did a breakfast there.

If cost is an issue you can do breakfast which is much cheaper -- you can sometimes plan a late breakfast say 10:40 - which is within the breakfast time frame, but could help cover you for lunch and then you just have an earlier dinner that day. You have to eat so why not make double duty of your time. Breakfast is pretty reasonably priced

Thanks guys. We're just going for the day tomorrow and not sure if we want to invest the time into a cp breakfast. Is it usually pretty quick? And is the food worth it? We are ap holders but never do character meals.

It all depends on where the characters are in their rotation when you are seated. We always do lunch. The least amount of time we have ever spent at CP was 45 minutes, and that was because the first character in the rotation was almost to our table when we sat down. We sat there and got through all the characters quickly before we even went up to get food. The longest we have had it take is 2 hours- that is because we had to wait quite a while to be seated. We had the first lunch time and they would not seat anyone for lunch until all the breakfast people cleared out that year. Typically, I would say normally it runs between an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half.

I would also note that back when Pooh and Tigger met at EPCOT too, the lines didn't seem as long when we would see them at Magic Kingdom. Seems like the lines at Magic Kingdom got a whole lot longer when EPCOT got rid of their meet and greet a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how the new movie might be impacting the lines right now. If you go that route, definitely plan it out ahead of time and don't just show up in the middle of a set, or you could wind up not saving that much time by skipping the character meal.

In our experience, while CP was a great meal and experience, it took a significant chunk of time. Two hours easy. This was because the characters were not quick to get to our table.
