Hi
Has anyone had the character tea and if so was it worth the money?
Was going to book the lunch but my children are really fussy so thought they would be better with cakes etc.

We went last week and for us, ys it was worth the money. They do have a few savoury things which we found more than enough to make a meal out of - jacket potatoes with cheese, omlettes, sausages and tomatoes - so we ate there at 5pm as our dinner. Obviously we sampled the many cakes as well!

Out of interest, was that "real" cheese, or was it the sort of cheese you get on the hot dogs from Casey's?

We did this at 3:30 on our last trip and plan on going again on the 23rd! I think it's well worth it, and a nice mid after noon break.:thumbsup2

It was real cheese :)

UKStitch, was it you that took Fern last week? If so you were behind us in the queue for Stitch Live one afternoon :) My daughter was 'Stitch's favourite monkey' that time :)

Hehe, yes that was me :goodvibes Glad your daughter got picked, I really enjoyed that attraction having not seen it before and I would imagine she enjoyed being picked by Stitch?

The character tea party was great. I'd highly recommend it. You could easily make a proper meal out of it, so in comparison to other places to eat well worth the money.

She loved it :worship:

She was wearing her Stitch ears and he commented on them, asking Cedric (or whatever his name is!) whether she was alien. He said 'no I think she's human' and Stitch said "she has very strange ears for a human" or something similar! He also commented on the "very good looking guy" she was holding - her Stitch toy :)

had this in may it was really nice and really relaxed atmosphere with the characters and you can have as much as you want including hot and cold drinks. her are some of my photos

I think, if you have children who don't have big appetites, the character tea party is ideal. I think its really good value for money, and we would have done it on our last trip but we couldn't get booked.

We also had at 3:30 pm character tea on our last trip. As two adults in their early and late 30's a cup of tea, a few cakes and a nice sit down always goes down well. Lots of characters came to our table to say hello and DW had a lovely hug from Baloo, but I was a little upset when the Sheriff of Nottingham swipped one of my cakes :sad2:

But DW gave me another one so that solved that problem. We both love the theming of the Plaza Gardens its lovey. We had our Fantasyland Breakfast there too that Wednesay.

We recommend you try it at least once.

Sounds great, I may have to try here next time:thumbsup2

We did this on our last trip in May but booked a birthday tea party as a surprise for DD who was 7. It was great - loads to eat, especially the yummy desserts.

Prince John came over to us and kissed my hand - DH said it was only because he wanted a piece of birthday cake!:rotfl2:

This sounds like a good idea for us! My DD loves cakes (who doesn't?) and it would be a nice break. Please can you tell me where this takes place and can you have as much as you like or are you give a certain amount?

Thanks.

It takes place at Plaza Gardens restaurant which is at the top of Main Street (on the corner as you go round towards Discoveryland). It's buffet and you can go back as many times as you like to help yourself :)

Until the end of October 08, its at the Plaza Gardens restaurant, top right of Main Street USA.

Its an all you can eat buffet, including hot and cold drinks.

Sorry MinnieMouse for duplicating your information - I didn't see your post (grovel grovel)!

According to the brochure - its going to Pizza Planet from the 7th November.
