We're thinking of trying out the character tea party at the Plaza Gardens next time we go.

Has anyone done it? What characters did you get? What's the food like?

Thankyou! :)

We've done it twice and it's really good fun. Food is bread rolls, cakes and pastries. Soft drinks and coffee also available.

Characters we've seen there are Chip n Dale, Tigger, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck and Goofy amongst others - can't remember them all. We always do a couple of character breakfasts as well so it's difficult to remember who I saw where without referring to the photos. I would recommend a Character tea though for sure.

We will be going to the tea party when we visit in June so I'll let you know what its like. :)

We've done the Tea Party twice too and really enjoyed it both times. Characters as above plus Prince John, I had to courtsey and kiss his ring before he'd sign the boys' autograph books, Winnie the Pooh, Gepetto and Pinocchio, there may have been others too. It's one of my favourites but then I can never resist a dessert trolley - I never even noticed the bread rolls, but I do remember, chocolate mousse, cakes, jelly, cakes, fresh fruit salad, more cakes.
I'd definately recommend it. :Pinkbounc

we have been twice. I would reccomend you get there 15/20 mins before it starts as there was a big queue both times we went.
We didnt have lunch the days we went as it is so filling and then we just had a sandwich for dinner.
The character interaction was great, they come to each table one by one and ignore people who are barging in, which is a change from how interaction is in the rest of the park. It is a calming moment in the middle of the day.
we plan to go again in december

we did it last year and met eeyore tigger and pooh, also honest john stromboli and prince john.Refreshing to get to interact with the baddies :goodvibes

Thanks for the info everyone! :)

It sounds perfect - I can get my character fix, while my friend can fill up on unlimited supplies of cake, I think it definately has to be done! :teeth:

Bumping this to ask if you need to book this before your trip, or can you book onsite? (We are staying at Sequoia Lodge in August)

I'd really love to do this as an extra special treat, (more for me rather than the kids :rotfl: :lovestruc )

Thanks in advance! :dumbo:

You can book this when you get there but as August is a busy time I personally would feel happier booking in advance, especially if you are set on going on a particular day. Telephone number is 00 33 1 60 30 40 50

They will give you a reservation nomber when you book to have in your hand for the check-in girl. Maybe its me but I feel so much better with a code instead of blind faith that my reservation will be there.

Thanks so much for your help. It is expensive but we probably won't eat much for the rest of the day so I guess it averages out! (Can you hear me twisting my own arm? lol) :rotfl:

::yes::
We were only ever given a reservation number for our first ever meal reservation, when I have asked for one on subsequent times I have been told there are no such things??? :confused3
And horror of horrors, when we arrived for our lunch at the Lucky Nugget on Christmas Day at first they could find no booking for us :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: but luckily it turned out to be where the CM had crossed our name out already for another party with a very similar surname. Phew, what a relief! ;)
If they always give you a registration number then I will start asking for one again! :teeth:

I asked last trip and was given on for the two meals we booked

In that case I will definitely ask next time, I will be booking ours soon - :yay: YAY!!!
