Goodmorning everyone :goodvibes

Most of you will know that we are going to DLP in November for 1st week of Xmas season...

We will be definately booking cafe mickey for dinner with a birthday cake during our stay as we would like to celebrate my daughters 3rd birthday.

I was thinking about also booking the Character Tea at Plaza aswell but i am now wondering whether it is worth it, because we will be having a character meal at Cafe Mickey! :confused3

Do you think that it is worth doing the Character Tea at Plaza aswell or do you think doing Cafe Mickey is enough?

What is the Character Tea like? Is it a good experience?

Is it worth paying out more money for another character meal?

Would you just do Cafe Mickey Dinner with Bday cake? Or would you do both CM and Tea at Plaza....?

I dont know if its really worth doing both but i wouldnt know as ive never been before... but i dont want to waste money doing 2 Character meals if its not worth it as money can be spent on something else there.

Thanks for your help :thumbsup2

I would say you could do both and Hanna would eat free at the tea party.. If i had the money i would do all the character meals at DLP lol.

If it was me I would definitely do the tea party as well. I think it's excellent value for money. I haven't done any other character meals, but I don't think the character interaction is quite as good, but all the characters come round and you have enough time for an autograph and a picture. It's all you can eat and they have a good selection of food - sausages/fruit/yoghurts/cakes etc and you will probably see different characters than when you go to Cafe Mickey's.

When you compare it to the cost of other non-character meals and the fact that you're going to have to eat anyway, whether it's a tea party or not, it seems better value to do the tea party and see characters for less (or similar) money to eating elsewhere. ;)

We were going to do both on the same day on our last trip but DD was ill after Cafe Mickey so we ended up missing the tea party

Sounds like a good selection of food too popcorn::

Thanks for your replies everyone :goodvibes you are all so helpful :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how much it costs for the Tea Party per adult ? :confused3

From 7th November on, its £11 per person.

Can anyone tell me what time will the character teas will be on in February?:confused3

Its usually the same times each day - 3.30pm is the first sitting, and 5.30pm is the second. If the park closes at 6pm though, they may only do the 3.30pm tea party.

And there are rumours it won't be Plaza Gardens after November 08, but at Pizza Planet instead.

Last week I booked a teaparty for the 3 October and they said there was only one sitting at 4.30pm.

In case that is of any help.

Make sure you check the timings carefully. We booked the tea party and were told it was 5:30, but when we got to there, we were told we were 1/2 hour too late and it had started at 5:00, so they wouldn't let us in. Really should write a complaint about that too DLRP, for their own information if nothing else.

Honestly, for only 2 pounds more, I would book the Character Birthday party. This is the ideal option to celebrate a Birthday as it includes a buffet of pastries, a slice of the chocolate birthday cake, a surprise present, a name badge, a birthday card and the opportunity to meet Disney Characters. Good extras for just the 2 pounds more.

Didn't realise they did this at the Tea Party, that would be good and make a huge difference in cost compared to a cafe mickey birthday party

WE did both of these last week ,I found the charactor tea party at the plaza gardens excellent value for money great food plenty of it, while we had breakfast at cafe mickey which was a bit expensive for the food but you had great charactor interaction from the main mouse and of cause minnie!
