My husband and I will be traveling to Disney in October. I'll admit it, while on our first trip we loved the character dining. Our favorite was Crystal Palace which we will definitely do again. We also did Akershus which was fun but we want to try some new places. What character restaurants are your favorites when not with children and why?

We really enjoyed Garden Grill. The charcters kept coming around and the food and server were very good.

as a solo as a couple and with the faimily have done character meals decades always had awesome time, suggestion for you as a couple only 2 choices & why ? Romanc:goodvibese of course !

Must be a castle setting CRT or BOG (dinner) now while BOG is not a character meal in true sense during dinner the 'Master of the House' (Beast) wanders through the 3 dining rooms after dinner you can get pictures with him
(no autographs...claws you know :rotfl2: )

We thought CRT was very romantic for 2 adults. All the other character meals we did were not extra awesome/cool as adults, but still great.

goofy's beach blast - Cape May Cafe BC

now some people hate this one - but it can be fun - never, never go if you are sick or have a headache
Chief Mickey's at the CR

agree with Land Grille and Akershus(norway).

Chef Mickey's is fun. Even though you are going back to Crystal Palace, try it for breakfast before the park opens...you get to walk down a fairly empty Main Street.

DH and I do it all the time. We refer to it as "research" for the grandkids we may have some day.:rotfl2:

We do at least 2 character meals each trip and one is always a breakfast on our last day.
That being said; We LOVE LOVE Cape May.
My DH and I were engaged at Cinderella's Royal table so that has a special place in my heart.
Chrystal Palace is nice if you can get a reservation before the park opens- Nice and empty main street.
Garden Grill has great character interaction for all.

Breakfast- Cape May or Ohana. Chef Mickey's is good but a little frenetic. CMC & Ohana are both more laid back.

Dinner-CRT- What could be romantic then dining in the castle?
