Character question

I am working on my planning for next years trip.

One thing that I want to keep better track of is the character autographs. As well as I am for the first time going to make DD a scrapbook to go with her journal for school.

What I am looking for is a listing of characters in their groupings.

Ex: Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Perla and Suzy.

Next year I want to buy a T-shirt for each group and have it autograhed by the group only.

I do that now for princesses. DD always has a WDW Princess shirt that get only princess authographs.

I love character-hunting, and I'll try to take a stab at this question! This is probably more than you need, but here goes:

Movies that used to or very very rarely have characters out are Atlantis (Milo Thatch, Kida, maybe others), Treasure Planet (B.E.N. and Jim Hawkings) and Emperor's New Groove (not sure who was out). Finding Nemo has Nemo but he does not do much or sign. I think Brother Bear characters are out now, too.

I may have forgot a character or two! Well, hope this helps!!!!!

That list looks pretty complete. You may also want to check my website A Guide to Walt Disney World Characters. On the site, there's a "Character Index" section which lists all the characters that appear in the park. All the ones with rarity ratings between 1 and 4 stars are the ones that make appearences, while the ones with 5 star ratings only appear in shows and parades. That should give you some expectations on who you're likely to see.

How does everyone keep track of character locations, who to get an autogrph from, who you got and who you still need???

To find out what the character locations are, I usually read a lot of trip reports to find out who is where and when they were out. I also know a few WDW CMs that will usually tell me when the locations change (which they usually do every 4 months or so).

As for knowing who I still need to find, I just check who I have a picture of and who I don't. If I don't have a picture of them, I put their names down on a list and then try to find out where are good places to find them in the parks. Then about a week before my trip, I usually ask here on the DIS if anyone has seen any of the characters recently. That usually is very helpful. For instance, here's my current list. When it gets closer to my trip, I will ask on the board if anyone has seen them doing meet-and-greets.

Three Star Characters (Priority One, I have no pictures at all of these characters)

I have seen her pics and I agree, they are very good. I have not been to WDW since the Summer, so I have not yet been able to meet Kenai and Koda and Mike seems to be on the rarer side. I've only seen Sully doing greets. As for Peter though, I have been luck enough to see him a few times though.
