I have been to many character meals through the years, but not recently. we now have some younger great grandchildren. so I was wondering what characteristics you feel are the best lately?

It probably depends on who they might like to see at the character meal. Chef Mickey's, Cape May Cafe, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Cinderella's Royal Table, Tusker House - all decent to very good dining options with characters - some breakfast, some other meals. Most are pretty much back to 'normal' since the pandemic. I'm sure there are others, and you'll get specific recommendations - but any/all of the meals above will be fun for characters and will offer decent food.

I will add to thanxfornoticin's comment that if specific characters are important to your visit, be sure to research the restaurant. We went to a character breakfast this month at Akershus in Epcot and were surprised that even though the restaurant is in Norway and adjacent to the Frozen ride, neither of the Frozen princesses come to the meal. It's just another group of princesses that have been "invited" by Anna and Elsa. It was still a fun meal but there were definitely some little ones at other tables who were pretty disappointed.

For princesses, we love Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. For the classic characters we like Topolino's at the Riviera hotel because of the fun artist costumes for Mickey and friends and the breakfast is really tasty. And if you happen to have a Snow White fan in your family, Arist Pointe at Wilderness Lodge is not to be missed -- the service can be sketchy but meeting the Evil Queen is pure gold. She is priceless!

Thank you, looks like all the useful ones I have Gone too before. always felt we could never go Wrong with chef Mickey. Our little ones have always loved it there, the adults too.

Our favorite is probably Garden Grill. Food is very solid for all you can eat, restaurant is cool with the rotating bit, and its small so you get plenty of character time. Farmer Mickey is a really cute version of him. If anyone likes Chip and Dale, its a must do.

For little kids if they like Disney Jr Characters, Hollywood and Vine in HS for Breakfast is great. Good idea for it is shoot for a brunch time (like 10amish) so you can knock out some rides before hand. It's a good breakfast buffet too food wise. It's mostly skewed toward girls though, its Vampirina, Doc Mcstuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Goofy. Its not a must do from character standpoint really either, you can meet all 3 of the ladies in the Animation Courtyard too, but its easier than standing in the heat in lines to knock all 3 of em out too!
