Character meals

Need help deciding... We'd like to do one character meal. Was leaning to Goofy's kitchen but for dinner, since we are not big breakfast people. Kids are older, 14 & 12 (boys) but they still think it's fun. At WDW, we loved Garden Grill for example and chef mickeys. We like Chip and Dale and Pluto.

So, I think Goofy's is nice. But heard there are not many characters there anymore. Does Goofy come around to the tables or just a photo before the meal?

What characters have appeared recently?

What about Minnie & Friends breakfast at the Plaza? Love the reports of so many characters... If we went to a late breakfast, 10 or 11am, do the characters disappear when lunch starts (what time?) or would we not see as many? Would there still be plenty of food out?

Is this the only place to see Max? (Goofy's son) as my one son would love to see him.

Also, Surf's Up... would we be able to see Stitch easily elsewhere in the park?

Characters will be out until the character meal is over and they turn over into a QS spot. There should be plenty of food available until this time, but it is strictly breakfast fare, where GK is more brunch like.

Is this the only place to see Max? (Goofy's son) as my one son would love to see him. I have only seen Max at the Minnie's Breakfast in the Park.

Also, Surf's Up... would we be able to see Stitch easily elsewhere in the park? No. The only place I have seen Stitch for a M&G is at the Disney Visa cardholder private M&G.

Minnie's seems to have the most character's available...more so than GK. However, GK will have more than the typical breakfast food.

I happen to be a fan of the Storyteller's Cafe at the GCH. If you do a 9am breakfast you get a lot of the woodland creatures that you tend to forget about. Chip, Dale, some of the creatures from Pocahautas, etc. Just another option.
