Thanks, i'm going to keep editing my first post so that all the info is in there. have you eaten at both these places? if so can you give any more info or reccommendations?

One thingI kep forgetting to do is work out what times all the buffets/meals are served so if anyone has this to hand it would be usefull. I know me, Ill plan to eat somewhere and find it closed lol!

i've put the character times on where i know them, because it is an important bit of information! i love character meals so this is very dear to my heart! come on guys, help fill in the blanks!

steakhouse sunday brunch is 12noon - 3pm, glass of champagne for adults included in the price, plus unlimited wine and soft drinks.

We met Tigger, Eeyore, Pluto and Goofy there :).

as a general rule - the hotel restaurant buffets are open for dinner only (from around 5pm onwards).
The park buffets are open for lunch (from around 11.30am) and some are open until early evening (ie Plaza Gardens). If there is anywhere particular you want to eat, at a certain time, best thing is to check with City Hall when you arrive, they will be able to advise you which venue is open at which times.

Thankyou everyone for help with times. DLPdaft Id seen a few that stated 12-3 but I cant off the top of my head remember which... :confused3 On cloud cuckoo at the moment!

Iv started printing off menu's off DLRP website that I can take with me so we can have a general look the night before however every plan I make go's to pot lol.

Id love to do Cafe Mickey for the kids as a definate and Im thinking perhaps the Cowboy Cookout as they love Jessie and Woody!

Id love Auberge De Cendrillon or Inventions however my other half is fussier than a 2 year old and would be very limited to what he could eat... I on the other hand will eat almost anything and I think the proof is by looking at me!

I printed off ALL the menus on DLRP, went through them at home before we left and removed those I knew we'd not enjoy the food for. Took the rest with us (with all my other printouts, I had roughly a yellow pages thickness of printed guides!)

it's worth doing though - as its too much to remember. The only alternative is Prison Break style, and tattooing disney guides all over your upper body, but this could be impractical in winter months... :)

Didn't see Captain Hook at cafe mickey (And we were there a lot), did get Chip and Dale though.

Also - inventions didn't have eeyore, smee, hook etc when we were there, just a more common cast (mickey, goofy, tigger) plus Launchpad McQuack.

Lucky nugget meal as you say has a I beleive become the Cowboy Cookout one.

Lucky Nugget is a Tex Mex buffet but not with characters. 23,70€ adults (drink not included) and 11,30€ for children 3-11 (drink included)

The characters have gone over to CCB where it is still counter service (fixed menu) but at buffet prices

The DLRP site are not upto date with a few of their menus :)

We did Cowboy cookout, inventions and cafe mickey all on this trip.

Cowboy Cookout had no Jessie - we saw Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Woody.

Inventions we saw Chip and Dale, Tigger, Mickey, Minnie, Eeyore, Goofy and Launchpad McQuack.

Cafe Mickey - we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Smee, Geppetto and Pinnochio - no Captain Hook though!

I think Cafe Mickey is best for character interaction but love the calmer atmosphere of inventions and the food. Cowboy Cookout was good but they haven't got it spot on yet in my opinion (for example all the characters disapeared at the same time for about 10 minutes for a changeover at least twice while we were in).

Cafe Mickey - We've seen Captain Hook there once but it was quite a while ago, this last visit we did see all the characters mentioned above with the addition of Stitch (first time we've seen him in there too!).

thanks for your help guys - very useful in planning my next trip.

with this in mind - would it be useful to have some sort of list like this in the sticky restaurant review thread?

We went in MArch and went to Auberge de Cendrillon and Cafe Mickey, both for lunch. Auberge was fantastic, great atmosphere, full of happy princesses. The princesses were very friendly and we were given a table by the fireplace without even asking so Ariel and Eric danced right by us, 3 times :) The food was lovely, I enjoyed everything. The girls didn't like their pasta (the cheesy filling was 'too cheesy' or something) but loved the starter and dessert!

Cafe Mickey was great fun but the food was fairly minging. Maybe it was an off day ;) I'd go again, but I'd love to try some of the other character restaurants at some point as well.

I've seen Hook in late March, Saturday dinner time.

Can anyone reccomend the best character meal venue for vegetarians?

The steakhouse was one we never did actually, but would want to add that to our next visit...!

But where is it? I seem to recall more than one restaurant with Steakhouse in its name?

It's the Steakhouse in the Disney Village...the restaurant that does steaks in the park is the Silver Spur Steakhouse

Great, thanks - and it's still Definitely a character meal? (I don't remember seeing it on the character meal list on the leaflets over there?)

Then again, maybe I did see it listed as a Sunday brunch only when it was too late (we only got there sunday lunchtime), and so forgot about it. :)
