We were at Disney a few months ago and are going back down in December :cool1:.... Anyways we have never planned to do a character meal, just because we didnt think that DS 4 would like sitting down to eat when there was so much more to do in the parks, until it hit me that he would LOVE it if there was a meal with Buzz and Woody, but I didnt know if there was one, Does anyone know if there is?

No, there is no character meal with Buzz or Woody. The character meals have princesses, Pooh and friends, Mickey and friends, Chip & Dale, etc.

My son would love that oo. Too bad there isn't one. He did enjoy the one at Cape May with Minnie, Goofy & Donald though.

It has been said many times that Disney would do VERY well to have a boy-friendly character meal somewhere. They could do a Jungle theme and include Timon & Pumbaa, Tarzan, (what is the boy's name in Jungle Book?), Aladdin, Ali Baba, etc. Or they could do a Pirate theme and include of course, Jack Sparrow (of course, all the moms would be so delighted to eat there!) and all manner of bad guys. Or a Toy Story theme. I have no idea why Disney doesn't pick up on that idea. :confused3

I know what you mean I dont know why Disney does not do this. We will not do a character meal until DD is older, but if they had a Toy Story one we would def. do that meal every time we are there, which is about twice a year. So Disney is loosing out on a lot of money because I know we arent the only parents of boys!

The boy from the Jungle Book is Mowgli. I love that idea, too. I think my DD 7 would appreciate those characters as much as DS 4!!!

I've always wondered why boys are ignored by Disney????? :confused3 They are missing out on a huge demographic! My boys would love a wild dinner with pirates where they got to drink out of mugs, eat with their hands and sing pirate songs. I think there were some rumors of a pirate meal out there at one time, but so far nothing. :sad1:

They are releasing a priate cruise from Floridian sometime June I think. Open to all Disney guests and it has Captain hook and Smee with snacks and drinks on baord. i think it is $5399 for adults and $20 something for children. You have to 4 and above to do the trip and party size can be any size.

When you return from seeing fireworks and water parade on lagoon. Peter Pan will be at the dock for photos and autographs. You can book this through recreation line. i know not a meal but at least something for the boys :)
