Character Meals

Can anyone suggest a good character meal at Universal? I really know nothing about them, but would be willing to do a breakfast, dinner or both. We will be staying at HRH for 2 nights in November.

The only one I know of is the one at Confisco's with Spiderman, Cat, thing1 and thing2.

We went to the breakfast at Confisco's -- Spiderman sat down at the table to autograph DGS' book. Cat in the Hat, Thing1 and 2, were there, and so was Sam I Am -- which was great for us, since DGS is Sam. The buffet breakfast was a pretty regulation spread; cost seemed a fair amount less than WDW. Not hurried or crowded and characters came around again; it was a pleasant experience.

Dinner at RPR is a character meal 2-3 days a week. We are there last yr. I think it was Scooby Doo and a couple of other characters. Right now DD and I can't remember who

edit... found the pics. It was on a Monday and the characters were Scooby Doo and Shrek.

I took my kids to the Confisco with Spiderman, Thing 1 and 2, and Cat in the Hat. Three boys 11,10 and 4 and my 10yr old girl. They all loved it. Spiderman was the best. He talked to the boys about school and super hero fighting and talked to my stepdaughter about how exciting it was to be taking a picture with a supermodel. They had the best time here. Very memorable for them. Thing 1 and 2 were funny too and they were very excited to see my older sons wearing shirts with their names on it. Lots of cute pics here. We did the princess character meal at Epcot and this was by far the best for us.

So where is Confisco? Are there characters at breakfast lunch and dinner?
Would you need advanced dinner reservations? We will be at US the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving staying one night at the Royal Pacific.

How do I make these reservations? I am also staying at RPR in a couple weeks. My kids would love either of the character meals. Does anyone have a number to call?

Confisco's # is 407 224 4012. I made my reservation for 11/9 at 9:00 am for breakfast. Can't wait!

Also, we'll be having dinner at The Islands on 11/7 to see Shrek, but I can't find that # right now. Sorry.

Confisco's is located at IOA soon after you enter the park on the right hand side. The Characters are there for breakfast.

Be on the lookout for special holiday meals at the onsite hotels and Mythos for thanksgiving. I would make reservations for whatever meals you can during those busy days.

dee slack I don't suppose they do a character meal with the Grinch at Christmas?

Not in the past but keep looking to see if anything changes for this year. A couple of years ago we stayed at Portofino and The Grinch wandered into Trattoria del Porto while we were having dinner. The hotels at each on-site also offer different character dinners on certain evenings as well as other entertainment.
