We are going to WDW in Sept. We are blasting through the parks (3 days) before our 7 day Disney Cruise (and then doing 2 days at Universal). My husband really wants to do some sort of Princess character meal for my daughter (DD6, DS9). He thinks se would LOVE it. I think she would think it was fine/fun but we are going to see lots of characters at the parks and on the ship and have a character breakfast on the ship.

I want to know....

Is it worth the money considering the above?

If yes, where is the best place to do it?
Thanks

I would say it depends on how excited your dd (and ds) are about Princesses. You could maybe see some of them around in the parks, but it may take more effort than just scheduling a character meal. However, you can see Belle at her StoryTime, Cinderella is supposed to be in the new stage show too I believe... Snow White, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, and Jasmine can often be seen in Epcot in their respective "Lands." I know I am missing some... but you can also sometimes get more than one princess in Toon Town. So, it depends on what you're looking for. Are any princesses scheduled to be on your cruise?

You can find the favorite charecters in the parks, but if your child is really into them, a charecter meal is nice. CRT at the castle and the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway in Epcot are both great. My daughter loved them, and for us, they were worth it. Either way, enjoy!!

Yes they are worth it. Do a character breakfast!!!!!! It's a must be done (at least once) IMO

I say skip the character dining since you are doing the cruise. The characters on the boat are awesome, I think every morning they are there during breakfast, and not to mention you see them more often and interact with them alot on the boat. The cruise is a totally different experience when it comes to seeing characters than in the park.

They are worth it. And DW and I just went without kids!

We did our first character meal a couple years ago and another one in Dec. and I think they are great. I am hooked and I don't even have any young children. My youngest is 13! My daughter and I are planning on doing a couple of them in Dec when we do a few days earlier than my husband. Debby

Thanks to all. Would you do a particular one? I am seeing bad reviews about Cinderella's castle. Is the one in Norway better? Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

you will not see Cinderella at Norway...I think that the reviews are for the food and to be honest it is not the reason you are going!! I think every young girl if able should have breakfast at Cinderella castle and meet the princesses...Fairy Godmother is downstairs while you wait in the lobby...the ambiance is wonderful and we like the food! BUT it is a hard seat to get...need to cal at exactly 90 days out at 7am...see the running thread about this breakfast....

I definitely say do the character meal. You will only have one character breakfast on the cruise and no other character meals on the ship.

I also did not think there were as many opportunities to see the characters on the cruise as we would have liked.

Besides, if your dd is anything like mine - no matter how much time she gets with the characters it will never be enough!!

We did "The Castle" just recently with our two and I can tell you that I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't be worth it. When we got there we were able to visit with the fairy godmother first downstairs and then when it was time to go up we were sat and brought what I thought was a delicious breakfast much to my surprise it was YUMMY and really HOT. ALL of the princesses were there except for Jasmine! Cindy, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Wendy it was fabulous!! I would highly recommend this, it was by far one of the best breakfast we had and made it ever more special going to the Castle.
I have to say that for me it was even a childhood dream come true to go up into the castle...we went the first year it opened and three years after that...and I ALWAYS wanted to go "into" the castle!!!
You will enjoy this.
P.S We did Chef Mickeys also and were a bit disappointed there.

I agree with alot of the other folks here... it's alot of fun to do a character breakfast, it really starts the day off right. If your children loves (or just likes) Disney characters... then having breakfast with them can make their day...

Go For It!!!
