Character Meals? Top two!

We loved Crystal Palace breakfast and Akershus dinner.

My two favorites are late breakfasts at Crystal Palace and Tusker House. The food is good, and eating late you get to eat from the lunch buffet too.

But it really depends on which characters you want to see.

Cape May Cafe is good for food and the character interaction was good. We stayed at the Swan previously and the Garden Grove have Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale come and this was by far and away the best character meal we've had - the characters stayed for a long time and they all played with my son - Pluto let him scratch his tummy, goofy sat down at the table and the chipmunks were trying to score each other's names out in our autograph book. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Garden Grill is at the top for character meet and greet and for food. So delicious. I love that it is not a buffet.
We also really enjoy Akershus.

For buffets we enjoy 1900 PF for breakfast and for dinner and Cape May for breakfast.

ours would have to be crystal palace breakfast and 1900 park fare breakfast. we don't do dinner buffets because we don't like them, but we do love breakfast. character interaction at both is loads of fun. there is overlap, however, so be warned that pooh and tigger are at both of these breakfasts. i'd pick chef mickey's if you need another. we like cinderella's royal table for dinner for characters

Cape May is my 1st choice....tied at 2nd is Tusker House and Crystal Palace. Both have great food. I'd give a slight edge to Tusker for a better variety.

We loved Crystal Palace breakfast and Garden Grill dinner. Garden grill was the best meal we did - the way the restaurant is laid out made it quieter and I wasn't afraid we'd miss characters if we were up.

I know I'm in the minority, and maybe it was an off day, but we were not impressed with Tusker House. The food was just ok and the characters really rushed.

We have done Akershus (breakfast), CRT (lunch), 1900 Park Fare (breakfast and dinner), Hollywood & Vine (lunch), and 'Ohana. Of those, my top two are both 1900 Park Fare meals - loved the food and character interaction at both.

We have Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, and Tusker House booked for the next trip, so we'll see how those end up stacking up.

I have extremely picky eaters so we stick to breakfast. Our 2 must dos every trip are Askerus and Crystal Palace.

I thought 1900 Park Fare had Alice in Wonderland characters for breakfast? Are Pooh and Tigger something new? We have breakfast reservations there in June.​

I made ADR for Chef Mickeys & Crystal palace next month. Stupid question, but since I've never been to DW I don't know, is there a good chance the characters actually stop by your table for a bit? I'll be with my sons, ages 2 & 4, so I'm sure they will want a picture. I've read that they will be present, but just not sure if they have to time to go to everyone's table, you know? Thanks!

I thought 1900 Park Fare had Alice in Wonderland characters for breakfast? Are Pooh and Tigger something new? We have breakfast reservations there in June.​

they have alice, mary poppins, the mad hatter, pooh, and tigger. it's been that way for at least a few years

I loved Akershus and 1900 Park Faire for dinner. Chef Mickey's has great characters but they're dinner is nothing special.

This summer I am trying breakfast at Cape May. I have heard great things about it and since I love Cape May for dinner I am excited to go!
