We are planning our trip for March, 2005 and it will be me and DS 14. He probably could do without the characters but I want to see some. I have planned the character breakfast at Crystal Palace since I am such big Pooh fan and also so I can get in the park early. Later that evening I want to do Liberty Tree Tavern for the characters and also for the food. You think 2 in one day is too much? Would you break it up over 2 days?

For me I would spread it out (One a day). But, if you plan on a snack for lunch it should work out pretty good. I would probably get the earliest PS for the Crystal Palce and a 5:30 PS for the LTT. By that time I would be hungry again.

We've done two in one day before and are doing it again this trip! We have two mornings with princess breakfasts- CRT and PSB- and are eating character meals both evenings- LTT and Crystal Palace. We eat breakfast, no lunch, and the dinner completes the day of eating. Now, the only thing I will say is that they take up time- I'd allow at least an hour for each meal. Your 14 year old might would rather be riding rides or something. My children are 3 and 5 and LOVE the characters. Also, how long is your trip? If it is just a couple of days, I might would not take up that much time. We will be in the parks 5 days- staying 6 nights. It's just up to what you think works for you and your family. Personally, I think 2 character meals in one day makes the day fun and gives you great food!!! Characters and good food- what more do you want?princess:

I personally would only do one character meal per day as I tend to eat a little more than I should at buffets. If I ate at two in one day, I'd probably feel sick. Besides I would rather just eat quick meals in the theme parks so I can ride more rides.

We did 2 character meals in the same day twice during our trip, and I'd do it again! We loved it, it wasn't too much for us at all.

As long as you spread them out as to when-and-how-much-you-can-eat-in-one-day, of course it is fine to do two character meals in one day.

LTT and CP are pretty much the "best" food in MK, so if you are going to be there all day anyway, they're your best bet for decent food. (sorry, I am a bit of a food snob--and those two even barely qualify as "good food").

Really, character meals are just regular restaurants with characters who passby pretty quickly anyway. If you were tired of characters during a day at the park, they will gladly pass you by if you wave them on. We enjoy both CP and LTT, but don't do them on the same day only because we're not big eaters and because we stay concierge so never need breakfast. We usually do CP for lunch one day and LTT for dinner (or lunch with no characters) on another day.

We have done this before on our last trip. Usually we have an early breakfast (around 8:00am) & then schedule the supper around 5:00-5:30.
IF we are hungry during the day we just grab a small snack (example a dole whip, etc)

We usually plan two a day for most days that we stay at Disney. We usually make the breakfast reservation for around 10:00. That way we can tour before or sleep late if we need to and then dinner we make for around 7:30 - 8:00. This way we can take a break in the middle of the day, get a snack in the afternoon and then we're all set for dinner and really looking forward to it at that time.

We are doing the same thing for MVMCP. We have a PS at 8:05 at CP for breakfast and then have a 5:00 PS for LTT for dinner. When we do two character meals in one day we just end up not eating lunch - instead we just get some kind of small snack.

On my daughter's birthday we went to CRT for breakfast, Crystal Palace for lunch and Chef Mickey's for dinner. She had a ball and enjoyed every minute of it. We were dead tired at the end of the day but it was well worth it! princess:

We usually do only two meals a day, but since it was her birthday and she wanted to see the princesses, winnie the pooh, and mickey all in the same day we managed.

Are you staying on Disney property? If yes then,
Is your PS for an EMH at MK? If yes,
Consider making your PS on an early entry morning and choose the LASTEST one you can.

Have a snack (granola bar, muffin, etc.) on your way to the park.

EMH will get you started an hour ahead of time on the park rides, which DS will like. (I personally can't sit in a restaurant wasting precious ride time first thing in the morning!)

By your PS (10:30 or 11am) you'll be pretty hungry and ready to sit down to 'brunch'.

This should hold you over pretty well until the Liberty Tree PS in the early evening.

Remember, to beat the 'meal crunch waiting time' always try for PS at lunch before 11:30 / after 1:30 and dinner before 5:30. Works very well for us -- even in value season!

Just my 2 cents, but hope it helps.

We did two a day for 3 days and it was great. My dd got to see almost all the characters (except those *&^&&$$#%^ Princesses!) and we didn't have to wait in meet and greet lines. SO worth it.

Sounds like fun. I was really stuffed after CRT this time and had a hard time functioning

Character meals are just so great for getting those pictures. Have fun.

i think i'd rather spread out the fun a little bit. I know that on our trips, we can only afford 1 or 2 character meals, and I wouldn't want them both on one day. But if you're doing several, then I don't think 2 in one day would hurt!

Definitely keep your CP PS. It's great food and definitely worth it to get into the park early--I just love that. If you're willing to spend the time at LTT, do that too. The food is good, and 14 year old boys tend to be bottomless pits. I'd probably do a late dinner. You might ask your son what he thinks. You can always cancel LTT, just try to do it as soon as you know so another family can take it.

I would not hesitate to have to Character meals in one day. We are doing it a couple of days ourselves on our trip next week.
