I know some of the character meals cant be gotten into without a reservation (ie Cindys royal table), but are there other ones that are hard to get into without them. I would like to go to Princess breakfast at Epcot, Donalds breakfast at Animal Kingdom, and the dinner at Liberty tree in the magic kingdom. Any help with these would be appreciated, and if there are others that might be hard to get into please let me know. Thanks

You'd really be taking your chances with a "walk up" at the character meals. Cindy's is even harder to get into now that they're doing the charge card guarantee thing.

If you have your heart set on a character meal, try the "walk up" early in your trip. That way, if you don't get in- you can call Disney Dining and make a PS to get in.

Good Luck!! :smooth:

All characters meals need a PS, IMO. All the ones you mentioned really need a PS. Walk ups very rarely get in without a long wait (1 hour or more).

Yup another one here who would book PS for all the above places. I know it's hard to make plans sometimes. But I think breakfasts are easier to plan PS for than other meals.

Another vote for making a ps for a character meal. I agree with Sam, breakfast is easier to plan for then lunch or dinner but if you have really set your heart on eating in certain restaurants I would get your ps made.

The ones I would try at the last minute would be Ohanas and Cape May. You MIGHT have a chance. But I wouldn't be surprised if you got turned away flat. And, unless you are staying at the Beach Club or the Poly, both of them are hard to "stop in" and see if they can seat you without a pretty big time committment.

Some people have excellent luck with walk ups for all sorts of hard to get meals - including Cindy's and Chef Mickeys. We have discovered we have horrible luck with it.

Is there a reason you don't want to make PSs?

Almost EVERY character meal (with the exception of the Garden Grill) needs a PS to get in. I have seen MANY turned away from Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, etc. The Princess breakfast in Norway is quickly becoming MORE popular, they now require a credit card deposit to make a ressie there too, so walk ups will be MUCH more infrequent. If you really want to eat a character meal, you'll need a PS to ensure getting in. The only way you MIGHT be able to get in without a PS is arriving right at opening for a particular meal, but you still might have to wait. I've waited 30 minutes plus at both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace WITH a PS, so that should give you an idea that PS"s are usually a good idea.
