I am contemplating tryng to get reservations for our upcoming trip to a character meal. The trip will include dh, myself, and ds 10. Which one (not all princesses) would be our best bet for the money. Also, the disney website only shows these as being moderate price. However, counter service food for our family of 3 ran almost $30.00 last time. (3 drinks, 3 fries, and 3 burgers). I don't want to pay $75.00 for breakfast personally.

Breakfast should run you under 50 excluding tip.
I came up with 42.97 (16.99 per adult 8.99 per child). I think only the sit down breakfast went up to 19.99 and 9.99, but even at that price it is right at 50 before taxes and tip.

As for the best place ... We love Donalds breakfast o saurus and it is really a big hit with boys usually. Crystal Palace is very good too, but for a boy I would chose Donald's. I was just looking at menus and Goofy's Beach Blast at the Beach club sounds fun too.

I vote Chef Mickey's. Although I LOVE Crystal Palace for breakfast, the character's are Winnie the Pooh (not sure that's great for your DS). Chef Mickey's includes more "adult" characters ;)

Breakfast will probably be a lottle less expensive than dinner for a character meal.

My 10 year old DS enjoyed Donald's Breakfast at AK and Garden Grill with Mickey, Chip and Dale for Lunch at EPCOT.

I would go with Donalds Breakfast. That has become one of our favorites.

We (2 adults) often do a character breakfast as it fills you up good for a day in the parks. We always are able to skip lunch and have a small dinner (counter service) on those days.

Another perk is that if you make a early reservation before the park your done eating and heading for rides when the park opens.

Our day at AK will be a 8:10 am breakfast with Donald and by 9 we'll be riding Dinasour. We'll probably end the day at the park with BBQ from Flametree BBQ.

I have a little boy age 6 and I have made a PS for character breakfast at Chef Mickey's and I was wondering how expensive that will be and if it will be fun for him. This is our first character meal of any kind and therefore I dont know much about them. Thanks ahead of time. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

beautybelle .. personally I don't care for CM's but love donalds (Mickey is also at donalds). One big advantage to eating a character meal in a park is getting into the park before it opens, or eating after hitting a few rides. I like to make a 10 am ps for Donalds (or if MK, at Crystal Palace, even an early lunch at CP). We eat a small breakfast in the room while getting ready (such as gronola bars, breakfast bars etc). Then we hit the park at opening. Just as the rides really start gettign crowded we are eating. When we finish eating everyone else is just starting lunch, and the rides are less crowded for awhile.
I think the price for Chef Mickeys is the same as I quoted above for Donalds. Some breakfast went up to 9.99 and 19.99 but I don't think CM's is one of them.

Looks like Chef Mickey's is $17 for adults and $9 for kids.

I think most children enjoy them. You will eat breakfast (Chef Mickey's is a buffet, so you'll wander up to the buffet line and help yourself - all you can eat) while the characters move from table to table to shake hands, hug, take pictures, nuzzle kids, flirt with Dad and Mom, etc. The character interaction is generally wonderful, and low pressure - with enough space between characters that you can eat (and get food).
