Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'll give it a try...

We had our first trip two years ago, and I let the kids (then 15 and 13) talk me out of any Character Meals.

We are heading back late June/early July, this time taking DD 17, DDBF 18, DD 15, and DD's friend, also 17. I am thinking that since it could be the last trip for a while (university etc starting in the fall), we should take in a Character Meal. Any suggestions for this age? Or should we pass, and concentrate/spend our time doing other things?

Any ideas would be great!
Thanks

I don't think you're ever too old for character meals. We went to WDW for the very first time when my kids were 12 and 15 and we had a great time at Crystal Palace with Pooh and the gang and also at Donald's with Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy. On our next trip, my oldest will be almost 19 and she is still excited to have breakfast with Pooh!
I say, go for it! You don't have to tell them its a character meal. Just let them get there and see for themselves. They will have fun and your photos will be priceless! :tigger:

I say go for it. Disney is the place you get to act like a kid! Even if it just for your sake..do a character meal! There are soooo many good ones! Chef Mickey's is great! Park Fare is too. Or do a breakfast with Sticth and Lilo at Ohana!

I think I will...now...not sure how early this group is going to rise.......so which breakfast goes the latest? Which one is the Pooh one? I think that might be a fave in my group!

 I found this on a different site. I haven't been there but it might help.

My son wants to have breakfast with Winnie the Pooh next week, where can we find him and do we have to make reservations?
Your son can have breakfast with Pooh at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom and the Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge Resort. I would recommend making a reservation.

Go over to allearsnet.com. They have tons of info on WDW. Check out the options for Character Dining and it will give you the characters normally there as well as the menu for that restaurant and prices.

I would recommend Chef Mickey's. We went there in Aug 2004 and brought along my 2 cousins ages 15 & 17 and they had great interraction with the characters. Chip & Dale are especially good with the older kids because they like to fool around. They would take someone's drink and pretend to drink from it. They took my cousin's hand and she stood up and he proceeded to dance with her and put his hand over his heart like he was in love with her - and she is extremely shy, but I could tell she loved it. Even Mickey came over and was twirling my DD4's ponytails and was joking around with DS11. It was probably the best character interaction I've ever experienced.

I recommend Chef Mickey's it rocks and it's got the famous Mouse :worship:
Never too old to go to a character meal *shakes head* I'm 14 and proud :woohoo:

never to old .we go to chef mickey breakfast, and dinner cape may cafe breakfast liberty tree tavern, and 1900 park fare lunch and dinner DD21 DS20 and their friends

DD 15 has requested to eat with Cindy. She'd love Pooh and Mickey and some of the others as well but only gets 1 character meal.

I agree never to old to eat with Mickey, Pooh either for that matter and if ya like the character enough I can't say as any of them would be out grown.

:tigger: If you want Pooh and friends, that would be Crystal Palace in MK. It is a wonderful breakfast buffet that goes to around 10:30. We had the late seating at about 10:15 and everything was still hot and fresh, not picked over at all. If you prefer, they also do lunch and dinner.

We've always gone to Chef Mickey's and the kids love it. Now our kids our 14 1/2 and 9 1/2. The youngest is excited...........the other can take or leave. But I think once we get there, he will have a blast.
