character meals at MGM

Hi there are they ant character meals at MGM

A few years ago we did Hollywood and Vine for breakfast (w/ Goofy, Minnie, Chip, and Dale). It was good because we got in the park early. The food wasn't different than the other character breakfasts, though there is a big dance number that the characters do. I assume they still have that one.

Hollywood & Vine stopped the character breakfast some time ago which is a real shame as we loved it there.

I'm not Jackie, but I'll confirm that- there aren't any character meals at MGM. The closest place to eat with the characters is Cape May at Y&BC.

I think it would be a great idea to add a boy themed character meal at MGM- maybe it will happen sometime!

There are no character meals at all anymore at Disney MGM Studios. Sorry!

I read in the 2004 UG that due to low attendance after 9/11, some character meals were discontinued. That is probably what happened to the Hollywood & Vine meal.

Now that attendance is back up, maybe they'll add one back at MGM!

A little closer than YC/BC's Cape May Cafe is the Swan -- weekends they have characters for breakfast and if I'm not mistaken, for dinner as well.

I have steadily seen an increase in tourists over the past 2 years and now that we are seeing a real increase in hours in the parks perhaps a few new character meals will be added. Many of the resort restaurants had character dining for breakfast which was discontinued after 9/11. It would be nice to have those back as well as an option at MGM.

Rumor has it that they may be testing a character meal geared toward boys late this spring. From what I have heard, it is supposed to be in Epcot, though. No word on which restaurant or exact theming.
