This will be our first trip and our first character meals. Do they do photos? Is a photopass photographer available? Can I add it to my photopass? How much do packages cost? Are they worth it? Can anyone show me pictures that they did while at a character meal?

I'm sorry that I have so many questions, but I want to be prepared.

i thought there would be photopass photographers are the character meals, but there weren't. there were two of us, so we each took a pic w/the character, and sometimes our waiter/ress was around to take a pic of the both of us. worked out pretty well. we didn't buy any of the packages, which i think only included the family pic they took at the beginning.

don't know if that's what you're looking for, but we took them ourselves.

Before you are seated at some of the character restaurants (CRT, Chef Mickeys, 'Ohana for B-fast-I am sure others can add to the list) they will take your photo and then bring it to your table where you can decide whether or not to purchase it. Sorry, can't remember the price offhand. At CRT, a photo package is included in the price of your meal. Last year, my daughter was able to add the photo at CRT to her photopass. :upsidedow

At Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, and Liberty Tree Tavern the characters will pose for pictures with you, but no professional posed pictures with characters are taken. At Chef Mickey's you take a picture in front of a BIG plate with your party and then they bring it to your table to buy, but no characters are with you in the picture. I have heard there is a code on the back of the package that if you can hurry up and write down you can add to your photo pass...but you would have to be quick...the CM stands at your table while you look at the pictures and decide.

Hope this helps.

The only ones that I can think that do a character photo package is CRT and Norway. CRT's is included with the price (it's with Cinderella)- Norway's is not (when I went to breakfast it was Snow White).

Then when I went to CM and Donald's Breakfastasaurus you could take a picture with a backdrop that could be bought in a package (not included).

And at all of them (including LTT, P&D, GG, and CP) there are characters that walk around to the tables.

The princess storybook Lunch at Akershus in EPCOT has a chance for a photo with a princess before being seated (ours was Aurora). One large and two smaller photos in a presentation (cardboard, book style) frame was an optional 35$ in April.
You are also able to take photographs with your own camera too.
If you purchase this package when you get home look at the photo in the top corner you will find a photopass code, the photopass photographer had actually taken about six photos - you can then add them to your photopass account online, and manipulate them in the usual way with photopass adding borders and character signitures etc.....
Hope this helps.
