Any recommendations for a nice character meal for a party of 5 with two girls aged 8 and 9? On a past trip, we have done Chef Mickey, Cinderella's Royal Table & Crystal Palace. This time the girls will be 3 years older. Or maybe even a meal with some type of special experience?

Akershus in Norway at Epcot is all princesses. 1900 Park Fare at The Grand Floridian is Cinderella, Price Charming, Lady Tremain and the step sisters at dinner.

You could always do Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before the meal so they can be princesses for the day.

1900 PF dinner w/stepsisters is very entertaining! We also love Tusker House brft w/Mickey and the gang in Safari gear, and can now add ROL package (when it opens for your dates) so you can get seats for the new show. Also the new brft that is starting at the Boardwalk with Rapunzel and Flynn and Ariel and Eric sounds good.

We enjoy dinner at 1900 Park Fare, and then it's a quick ride (monorail or boat) back to MK for the evening. The characters, especially Lady Tremaine, are great.

Another vote for 1900 Park Fare, but we did breakfast. The mad hatter is truly mad and mary poppins and alice delightful. The food is delicious with a good variety. We can't wait to go back in December.

Breakfast at Garden Grill is awesome!!!!! Food as well as character interaction & staff.

At that age, they might (or might not) be past the "princess" stage. Probably "too old"* for Disney Jr. (Hollywood & Vine at DHS) and possibly Pooh (Crystal Palace).

One option might be the new character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk - Ariel/Eric and Rapunzel/Flynn (Eugene).

* They get too old for this sort of thing, then when they get older, it's cool again

1900 PF dinner was our favorite character meal last trip! The character interaction was phenomenal, and the dinner buffet was varied and delicious.

The new Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria al Forno would also be a good choice.

Our all time favorite best character meal was dinner at the Garden Grill! The food was super yummy and the character interaction was so much fun! I don't know if they still have it for dessert, but my kids loved getting their own cupcakes to decorate with their very own Mickey sprinkles!

If you get to sit on the lower level, it is like you have the characters all to yourself. It is also nice that they bring the food to your table, and you aren't having to navigate a buffet table.

Happy Planning!

Another vote for Park Fare breakfast. My dd who is now 18 still loves this breakfast. It has an awesome selection of food and the characters are fun especially the Mad Hatter. We absolutely love him and have gone to this breakfast sometimes just to see him!

Cape May Cafe is a more low key character breakfast that we have gone to over the years. We were just there last weekend and it's still fun to see Minnie, Donald and Goofy in their beach attire. Goofy is also a lot of fun even with the older kids (like mine).

Feel free to check out my reviews with photos here:

" stage

Experiencing this now. My DD (7) is a closet character fan. She likes them at Disney, but will only admit this to one school friend. Lol
