While we are still about 18 months away from our first trip, I've been musing about the dining and scheduling already. DS will be 4.5YO and DD 6.5YO. We are planning on flying to the ILs on Saturday, driving in early Sunday morning, hitting Knott's and then to our hotel (likely GCV if FIL is coming with us and MIL). We will likely spend 4 days in DLR and leave Friday morning. I know that the day we leave to go back to ILs, we will have the Surf's Up breakfast at PPH and I also know we will do Ariel's Grotto for some meal during our 4 days there (thinking maybe Tuesday lunch). The ones I'm not sure which one to do is the toss up between Goofy's Kitchen and Minnie's Breakfast (or both!). We could do Goofy's Sunday night as a special kick-off of our visit and fit Minnies in later. I'm also going to try and fit in Blue Bayou and BTR, plus we'll be doing the holiday tour likely on our first day there.

You see where this gets crowded.

Would you do both Goofy's and Minnie's (let's pretend for a minute money is no object) along with Ariel's and Surf's Up? If you had to cut one of the character meals of the 4, as money could be a factor, which one would you cut? TIA!

I have only done Goofy's and Minnie's breakfast. we all liked the food and dining experience at Goofy's better. We thought there were more characters at Minnie's though. My kids seemed to enjoy Big Thunder Ranch BBQ just as much as the character meals. My DS5 loves getting on stage and dancing. My DS10 likes all the silly songs they sing, and we all like the food. My DH especially likes the fact that it's all you care to eat. Have fun with whatever you choose, you really can't go wrong!

If you're staying at GCV, have you considered doing the character breakfast at Storytellers Cafe? I've done that one and really liked it.

I thought about it. Right now though it seems like they have some more minor animal characters and the kids wouldn't know them all. Maybe I'll have the kids watch some of those movies and we'll go from there.
