Character Meal question

Staying at Poly....is there a character meal at Poly or if not what would be recommended for us...we will be there with my 8yr. old son. Not doing dining plan/adr but will make one character reservation. Can I make the reservation once we are at Poly? Thanks.

Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch in 'Ohana. Fantastic!!

Dinner at 'Ohana is also very fun for kids and I thought the food was good. Coconut races and a limbo pole are done during dinner.

We had 5 kids with us last year - 14, 14, 9, 8, 6 - they all loved it.

You most definitely need reservations as both book up fairly early. Try to get reservations ASAP.

As the PP said, 'Ohana has Lilo and Stitch at breakfast, and they have a really wonderful non-character meal at dinner.

But, if your son isn't into Lilo and Stitch, you could easily jump on the monorail and go around to Contemporary for Chef Mickey, or even MK for Crystal Palace and the Pooh Characters. Really, by staying at Poly, your options are nearly limitless.

If it were *me*, I'd go to either Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace...if your goal is to stay near the resort.

If you really want to do a character meal, I would just pick which ever characters are most appealing to your child.

Our most recent trip was our first with the DP. My kids were more interested in doing more of the unique dining experiences (Sci-Fi drive in, Coral Reef, etc.) rather than meeting characters so that's what we did this trip.

The two character meals we did do were breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fair-- that would be just a short monorail ride from the Poly. But I'm not sure if the characters would interest your son. Breakfast is Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins and dinner is Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, and her step-sisters.


I know there are no characters, but the favorite meal of our trip was dinner at Ohana. The kids enjoyed the food and there were activities to keep them entertained throughout the meal.
