Hi - just wondering if anyone can comment on the breakfast vs. the lunch. I saw the 'all day' menu on the DL website, and my DD will not eat any of that stuff (if we do a lunch). Will they make/serve grilled cheese, pizza or any sort of kid's meal?

I think my DD would be more 'successful' eating-wise with a breakfast (she loves eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, toast, etc), but I hate to use the precious morning hours on a meal, rather than rides. Also, what does 'family style' dining mean? Buffet?

How far in advance should I make a reservation for just her and me? We will be there the week of March 21st.

Thanks!

I can't comment on the lunch, but can help on the breakfast part.

Family style means they bring out large portions that that family shares from. We started with a 3 tiers of plates with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats & pastries on it. Then they bring out the large hot platter filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage & bacon in it.

The breakfast was very good & plenty of food. You could always go for a later breakfast time. We usually spend an hour or two at DL, then go over & do the breakfast at Ariel's.

Hopefully someone can help with what they do for the lunch. I'm thinking they don't offer the kid meals found at some of the other restaurants here.

Good luck with your planning!!

They do have a children's menu for lunch. It includes glazed chicken on a skewer, kid's tri tip and mashed potatoes, shell pasta with cheese sauce and goldfish crackers, and meatball lollipops with marinara sauce. My DD got the pasta, which is basically mac n' cheese but with shell pasta, and she loved it. For lunch, the appetizer platter and dessert platter are family style, and then everyone orders their own entree. We really enjoyed it. princess:

Here are some pictures from our lunch there: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39886590&postcount=2489

Yes, I not-so-lovingly refer to my children's meals there as "the most expensive mac and cheese I will EVER buy". Seriously, I could buy six months worth of mac & cheese for what I paid there.
