Please help :cutie:

I'd like to finish kid's autograph book finally and get it printed. But I have doubts.
Still have doubt if I should make one - for both DSs or one for each. Little one might be too scared to get it signed. On the other hand his brother could do this for him. And - oh well - they might get angry they have to share... :headache:

And the character list.. I came up with 50 pages, around 5 blank character pages. Would this be enough? I was thinking of "deleting" some characters that we are not likely to meet.

Got rid of the princesses - DSs have no intention meeting them. They care for Buzz, Woody, Bolt and Lightning McQueen (where am I to find those two??? :scared1: ).

So, here's our character list, please post what are the chances to meet and if I should leave it or "delete".

Thanks so much

What is it you're printing off? Is it pictures of the characters?

It's a lovely idea however you might be making a rod for your own back, as it's unlikely that you'll meet everyone. Some of the characters don't sign either.

Also having 2 books takes up some time - we did it years ago with our two and in the end they really were only bothered about making sure they had a photo. You could sell it to the boys by saying it's the 'team autograph book' and they can both contribute to getting it filled?

You'll see Lightning McQueen at the stunt show in the studios, or the static version beside the Cars ride in the studios - but you won't be able to 'meet' him. I've no idea where you would see Bolt.

I know I've read previously about people getting a basic autograph book, and getting character signiatures on every second page. Then once home, they print the photo they've had taken with the character and stick it beside the autograph. That might save you some time.

Good luck character hunting :goodvibes

I'm getting our own signature book, one of a kind. I'll get it printed as photo-book on a suitable to write on paper. Basically it's a page with a character, his name and a place to put signature.
Stunt show is closed when we're there.

Sully and Buzz did put stamps instead of signature.

Last time we bought autograph books in DLP, but custom made are much more fun as I have read from the reviews.

We saw Friar Tuck in Cafe Mickey in the summer and i've seen him on trip reports since. Possibly Wendy if you have Peter Pan?

I thought i read that the Green Army Men had finish their meet and greet, but maybe get some-one else to confirm this :confused3

I've made mine slightly different to you. I've made photo size cards (basically an A4 card divided in 4) with each of the characters printed on and then purchased a nice little photo album that we can slip them into afterwards. I figured that way I didn't matter which characters we managed to get signatures from. I'll try and post a photo in bit.

Ok here's mine.

Just remembered I do have Duffy on my list too. Don't worry about the Up characters in the photo. We're also off the WDW in May so that ready for then.

This is really very lovely :goodvibes
We did meet Peter Pan in Mickey's cafe but no Wendy.

Did you print those at home?

Thank-you.

I printed them myself and then cut them with a craft knife to get a nice edge. Did take a while but i'm pleased with the results and it didn't cost very much.

I love the idea of the cards.

When we did our books I did explain to the girls in advance that they probably wouldn't get to meet everybody to avoid disappointment:goodvibes

This is such a fab idea :thumbsup2 I did think about doing it myself but a) I'll never be organised enough b) I'm thinking of my printer ink :lmao: and c) I just know my kids would end up upset if they didn't see someone they had in their book :confused3

Great idea though for those kids that will 'go with the flow'...

PS - I've failed on the homemade autograph book but I have just secretly bought them both an 'across the body' Rapunzel bag each - just the right size for an autograph book & pen, from the Disney Store though :thumbsup2 Great find as it's just right! :goodvibes

I made my own one for my nearly 3 year old daughter when we went in October. She loved it & it really helped when meeting characters as she wanted them to sign her book.
We got the most signatures in Cafe Mickey
- we met Captain Hook, Chip n Dale, Mickey & Minnie, Pinocchio, Tigger, Smee, Gepetto. We also met Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Mulan, Winnie Pooh,Buzz, Cinderella, Tiana & Jasmine. We didnt manage to get Daisy duck as she was swamped each time she appeared which wasnt very often. We did see Cruella, Mary Poppins, Sully, Peter Pan & Wendy. I thought we did ok as we didnt go out of our way to get autographs - it was just characters we came across.
I got my pages from the Creative DISigns board on here & one of the designers did a personalised cover for me which was fab.

I used the same pages

I'm using these too :goodvibes

As it comes closer all this good idea comes to be a disaster :scared1: price is just madness and the other printing option doesn't look good (soft cover instead of hard cover).

I used a soft cover photo book! Its fine as we have 60 pages the book is nice and thick to be able to lean on to write in.

They are great pictures arent they :goodvibes- we found the characters loved them & interacted more too!

I used artscow & they were great - think cost about £10.00 with a hard cover & back.
They are based in Hong Kong & took about 3 weeks but I have heard people waiting longer so dont know if your have enough time for your trip in March.

Thanks for help. Will try, do my best and hopefully everything will be fine. If not, oh well, better luck next time.
