Does Universal have character meet and greets similiar to WDW? Are certain characters in special places throughout the day? If so, how long are the lines? Can you use FOTL?

There's a spot set up for Madagascar infront of Animal Actors that has a sign with times.

Other characters just show up and usually near I Love Lucy, Across from Terminator

Curious George and The Simpsons come to mind. I've also seen Marilyn Monroe

here you go from the website:

The stars are coming out at Universal Studios®! You can see Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa as The Simpsons™arrive in their "Universal Studios or Bust" recreational vehicle. See Scooby-Doo™ looking for clues. Meet the glamorous Marilyn Monroe. Catch Lucy & Ricky Ricardo on their way to the club. Meet an array of Nicktoon stars including Jimmy Neutron™ Boy Genius, Dora the Explorer™, SpongeBob SquarePants™ and the Rugrats™.

The stars appear periodically throughout the day on the Hollywood streets. Be sure to bring your camera and your autograph book!

They still haven’t gotten back to the Central Park Zoo, but the stars of the movie “Madagascar? seem to be having a great time as they wave and dance and say hello to all their fans. Bring your camera and your autograph book and meet the zoo’s marquee attraction, Alex the Lion, along with those four flightless birds who never seem to run out of plots to get them to Antarctica… the penguins Skipper, Rico, Kowalski and Private.

The stars of “Madagascar? appear periodically throughout the day across from the Central Park area, near Animal Actors on Location!SM

Is Scooby Doo a regular?

Oh yeah along with Shaggy and the mystery machine.:thumbsup2

You got the blues brothers roaming the streets,Simpsons with there large RV,Doc Brown riding around on a bike among many others. This is only the studios,IOA has got alot also.

At US, I've seen various Simpsons characters by the Kwik-E-Mart, Marilyn Monroe in the Hollywood area and Woody Woodpecker in the Kidzone before. We also walked by the Madagascar stage, but it wasn't a character meeting time. I've seen Dora, Diego, Jimmy Neutron and Shrek all near the front entrance as well.

At IOA, I've seen Spiderman, Wolverine and other X-men characters in the Marvel area.

In 2008, we were walking around US and my hubby was pushing a stroller
my youngest was 4
Well, all of a sudden,he takes off running away from me, down the street
full speed
I am left in the dust, when I saw where he was headed I understood
The Simpsons were out for photo opps :lmao:
He actually got us to be the last person in line to have their pics taken with The Simpsons for that day
It makes me laugh every time I think of it

Spiderman in IOA is awesome too, cause he spends a ton of time
talking to your kids. My boys loved him :lovestruc

I love Bullwinkle, but I really felt bad for him
I guess the kids today don't know him

You can catch Woody and Winnie Woodpecker, Curious George and the man in the yellow hat, Scooby and Shaggy at the 80's rewind show across from the ET attraction. Madagascar is usually across from the Animal Actors theater. The Simpsons are in front of their attraction. Shrek, Donkey and Fiona can be found in the ally behind Mel's Drive-Inn. Look for the trolley car and there you will find a lot of characters there.

In IOA you will find Spiderman and the super-heros at Marvel. At Seuss Landing you will see the Grinch, Cat in the Hat, Sam I am and his friend Guy and maybe even Thing 1 and Thing 2. Also, at the front of IOA Woody is sometimes there.

I personally seem to see the Simpsons more in Hollywood, but that may just be earlier in the day.
