Character in Restaurants

I subscribe to a few pay sites. ANd there is so much misinformation out there. I feel ripped off at times.

I read that if you are dining at a restaurants during a parade the characters wont be there since they cant be at two places at the same time.

Now I often wondered how can Mickey be eating at Ohana AND Chef Mickeys--plus be at the opening for the park in the morning.

Can some one tell me if the Pooh characters are NOT at the Crystal Palace during a parade???

Ah, it's the same reason you can see Santa Claus at one mall, drive over to another mall & wha-la, there he is!

Seriously, I have not been at the Crystal Palace during a parade, but why don't you call disney dining to inquire? While they don't guarantee specific characters will be a restaurant at a specific time, if they're taking reservations for character dining I would bet that when you are there, you're going to see characters.

I've been reading food reviews here for over 2 years and have never read anyone say that they went to a character meal and there were no characters.

You'd think there would always be characters at the character meals. isn't that like false advertising?

Since you can't see the parade from Crystal Palace, how would patrons in the restaurant know that Pooh is also in the parade at the same time?

I believe that statement is erroneous. I have never heard of characters "breaking" during parade time. Since there is no character meal with a simultaneous parade view the given reason makes no sense.

SOmetimes on message boards== people know more then the people who work for the company.

We frequent CP during parade time (3pm) because we like late lunches there.

You can see the tops of the floats making the turn through the hub, but you cannot really see who is on the floats or what is happening in the parade.

The characters are always there, they may go on their regular breaks (gone from the floor for five or ten minutes at a time), but they are not missing for the entire hour or anything like this.

The characters will be at the character meals during parade time.
Perhaps they were confused with the character meetings in the parks? I believe the characters that are out in the parks leave during parade time. Which obviously makes sense because it would be weird if you were standing there with Goofy getting his autograph and he was going by in a float at the same time.
