Character drawings

Hi All!

I'm getting Married Nov 14,2014 at the WP, Cocktail hour at Isola and reception at the AAR. I was wondering if anyone knew is Disney had the option of someone doing character drawings of the guest at cocktail or during the reception. And if so what is usually the cost? Thanks for the help!!

Yes. A caricature artist is available for around $585 for three hours, with a three-hour minimum, and $195 for each additional hour. The artist can draw 8–10 black-and-white caricatures per hour or 4 in color; an additional artist would be required for parties of more than 40 guests (based on four hours of service). Caricatures are 11x14 inches and do not include envelopes or tubes for transport.

I'd love to have an artist at mine too--but listening to Carrie's explanation (you are a freaking encyclopedia, Carrie!)...with as much as my budget has already ballooned beyond my initial estimates...won't be able to do it. Plus, my idea of an artist at my wedding would not be caricature. I personally would wan artist to do a "Disney" rendering of a person, whereas caricatures often are just the big head on a body, and they have a tendency to exaggerate a person's features (often for comedic effect). My dream was to have an artist come in and do "Disney" versions of my guests. I bet THAT would cost even more! LOL!

Hi there!!! I'm getting married at the Wedding Pavilion just a couple days after you, 11/16/14. My wedding planner gave me a price yesterday of $650 with the three hour minimum, so I guess the price went up (big surprise!) for that as well.

I would STRONGLY recommend having the caricature artist, it was one of the best things we did and people loved it. I just wish we would have scheduled the artist for a longer period of time.
