Character dinning

Hey everyone....I know I have read on here before that there is character dinning in USO/IOA...can someone correct me if I'm wrong? If not, where is the character dinning? Who are the characters? Is it for both dinner and breakfast? Any other info would be great!

I went to the character breakfast, the only one offered at the parks that I know of, at IOA's Confisco Grille. When we were there, the characters were Spiderman, Cat in the Hat, and Thing 1 & Thing 2. I just looked on the Universal website and they've changed the wording for the breakfast a little: http://www.universalorlando.com/hd_new.html

It used to be called Breakfast with Spiderman, but now it says the line about "special animated characters". I don't know if that means they are changing the characters or if they've just changed the name.

The price does not include milk or juice, so plan ahead for that if you normally order those things.

I know others have talked about character meals at the onsite hotels, but we haven't stayed onsite yet so I don't have that info.

We had a blast at our meal. The restaurant is small enough that you don't have to wait forever for the characters to get to you. Spiderman spent several minutes with our kids. It wasn't a "HAVE YOUR CAMERA READY" because the characters will only be at your table for 11.4 seconds kinda deal. The buffet isn't huge, but all the basics are there.
