Character dinner

I am thinking about doing a character dinner the night we arrive to get the kids use to the characters. We have 2 kiddos in our group who have never been before and I think they will need a little aclamation.

That said, what character meal has the best dinner? It must be at a resort since we will not be using a park ticket that day.

I'd go to Goofy's for dinner! They'd see familiar characters there.

We also went to Goofys Kitchen the night of our arrival. We didn't have park tix for the day, just went thru Down Town Disney, Goofy's is at the Disneyland hotel at the end of DTD. We loved it. The food is nothing spectacular, but it was decent and there was a lot of choices. The best part of course is the character interaction. We had A LOT of character interaction. We saw Goofy he hung around all the tables quite a bit. We had Jasmine, the fairy godmother, chip and dale, minnie, and pluto. They did some fun dancing (my dd3 got to dance with goofy). It was a suprise hit.

The only character dinners are Ariel inside DCA and Goofys kitchen at the DLH. If you won't have admission, that just leaves Goofy.

What do they serve at dinner? I have heard a lot about the buffet at breakfast but I must admit I haven't heard anything about the food at dinner.

Just curious.

The only character dinners are Ariel inside DCA and Goofys kitchen at the DLH. If you won't have admission, that just leaves Goofy.

o California Adventure - Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration
o Disneyland Hotel - Goofy's Kitchen
o Grand Californian - Storytellers Breakfast
o Paradise Pier - PCH Grill Breakfast


However if you will not have park admission you will be limited too PPH breakfast, or DH Goofy's Kitchen.
