My husband and I will be going to Disney to celebrate our 1st anniversary in December. We have been thinking about doing a character meal during our stay. (we have never been to one before) Is there any character meals that you recommend without children? We just don't want to be the only ones there without little ones! Thanks. princess:

we dont have kids and we go to most of them!

This year we have chef mickeys, crystal palace and donalds breakfast at animal kingdom booked

I love the characters so i dont see a problem not having kids

First of all :welcome: To The Dis. I recommend any of the character meals. My DH and I are down there a lot without our kids and grandkids and we always schedule at least one character meal. There is nothing to feel out of place about and it's fun. Enjoy it!!

Well I am glad others will be there without children too! I am really wanting to eat dinner in the castle or go to 1900 Park Fare. Does anyone recommend either of those?

Love Character meals. With or with out kids, Chef Mickey's is the best!

I would recommend Crystal Palace as my first choice, followed by Donald's breakfast at AK. I like the atmosphere at both places.

Even though you don't have kids with you, some of the other meals, can be a bit noisier and busy than I care for when I'm sans kids. Chef Mickey's falls into that category for me. Being in the middel of the CR just doesn't do it for me.

Don't get me wrong, they are all fun, and you can't go wrong with any choice.

Welcome to the boards :goodvibes
I like getting pics with the characters, but my DH won't stand in line. So character meals are a good way to do that  So we try to go to a character meal every time we go - and we don't have kids with us. It is a lot of fun and you can act like a kid too - getting pictures with them and their autographs.

My wife and I are going to Crystal Palace for breakfast. We don't see anything wrong with it, lots of people without kids go. It's a fun atmosphere and the characters even have fun interacting with adults.

I ALWAYS go to character meals - and ALWAYS wait in line for pictures in the park with characters - and I have NEVER had kids with me - only my DS and, this year, my DBF (for his first Disney trip).

That's part of the fun of WDW!!:thumbsup2

We go to the Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Faire for breakfast (more for food that characters), Donald's Breakfast in AK, and Chef Mickey's (louder, but fun characters)

I always do Character Meals:

My alltime favorite has to be Garden Grill at Epcot. I also really like Donald Safari Breakfast, Crystal Palace, and for princesses Princess Storybook.

My trip at the end of the month is just DFi and myself. We're doing 3 TSs and all 3 are character meals.

I love character meals, we don't have kids and go to DW for free dining every year. We've done Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern at MNSSHP...all have been great experiences.

Who cares if you don't have kids, it's not as uncommon as you would think down there :thumbsup2

As a childless adult, I've eaten at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and Garden Grill. This year we're going to Cape May and Akershus.
