We will only have 4 days and need to maximize our time. What are the must do restaurants for Character dining? I have a 7 yr old girl and 3 yr old boy. I want soemthing that they can both really enjoy if possible. Options for Breakfast and options for dinner!! Thanks

I think you can't go wrong with Chef Mickeys for the characters. Chef Mickeys has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale and pluto. They have breakfast and dinner. I only tried the breakfast and my kids loved it. If you are more into the food then I would go to Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and gang. They have better food and you have a choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner. If your son won't mind the princesses then try for a meal in the castle. We went back in May and I have 2 boys. We had lunch in the castle when it was not a princess meal and my boys loved the fact that they had lunch in the castle. The food was good too.

Have fun,

Loralie

We had a blast at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner and my girls loved the food there. The characters were awesome and came around several times. We are going to do Crystal Palace this time around because DD1 loves Eeyore.

The only other character meals we did were princess ones and with a boy he may not care too much for it > I don't know!!

Dh thought Jasmine was pretty hot....LOL

I agree: Chef Mickey's- fun for all. I'd do dinner since most of the others I'm recommending are breakfast. :rotfl:
Cinderella's Castle- just to say you've done it (especially if you're going before Feb. 1st when the price increases!)
'Ohana- your son might like this one. Lilo & Stitch are there now! Breakfast only for characters.
Donald's Breakfastosaurus- I've not been but it seems popular with boys. Breakfast only but I believe it gets you into AK earlier.
Crystal Palace- beautiful & fun. Pooh characters. You can do B, L or D here...

1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet is also a good one, and one of the easier ones to score a ADR. Mary Poppins only stays in the lobby. Tigger, Pooh, Alice, and the Mad Hatter came to our table. The food was excellent- I loved the strawberry soup! Mmm!

I think most of the food is similar at the Character Meals, IMO. I think the most important thing to consider is which characters your kids like the best. Why not ask them who they would rather see? Just a thought :flower:

Crystal Palace was wonderful the whole gang came around twice, very good food too when we went! Love that soft serve ice cream machine for the kids!
1900 PF was also wonderful, got to do that for your DD! We also did the princess dinner in Epcot - but we thought the food was atrocious. Probably very well made - but Norway is definitely not somewhere I would choose cuisine wise. We did however know that going and and did only go for the princesses which was priceless! We met - Belle,Aurora, Jasmine, and Mulan. My dd was in heaven!

The top 2 on our list of character meals were Chef Mickey's for breakfast or dinner (DW prefers dinner) and Crystal Palace. Characters at both of these are great especially Chef Mickey's. Minnie Mouse single handedly got DS 3 1/2 out of his fear of the characters. She was awesome. As was Chip who got down on the floor and played with DD 13 months.

Both kids love the Pooh characters as does DW. Food at both places was also very good IMO.

Crystal Palace for breakfast (gets you into MK earlier depending on your ADR)
Chef Mickey's for dinner, my opinions. have fun

Thanks for all the great feedback. This trip is a total surprise for the kids. So, I am having to decide on characters without their thoughts. I did a AD
R for Chef Mickey's for 8:50 is that too late??

Crystal Palace for breakfast -- gotta try the Breakfast Lasagna
