This has probably been asked numerous times but what is your favorite character dining experience and why? Trying to nail down our ADRs and figure out some favorites.

Thanks!! Michelle :)

Cape May breakfast because the food is awesome, the characters in their bathing suits are cute and it is the calmest character meal I have been to

Garden Grill!
The character ratio is sooooo good. The characters really spend their time with you and you see them 3 or 4 times during your meal. The revoling restaurant was a hit with the kids too!

For the food quality, you can't bet the Crystal Palace! Even my VERY picky father in law really likes it there.

For the atmosphere/charater interaction, we love Akerhaus. I have a daughter and still love the princesses my self, but Akerhaus is magical in my opinion. The food is good too.

We have done them all. These are my favorites, but we have not had a bad experience at any of them. Choose what is important to your family: food or characters. If you have girls who would love the princesses, try Akerhaus or CRT. Chef Mickey's is fun for everyone. My seven year old informed me he is to old for the play house Disney charaters. Our least favorite is 1900 Park Faire, but it was far from bad.

Have a great time!!!

We love O'Hana's for breakfast -- DS17 and DD11 love the Lilo and Stitch characters.

We like the ones that have already been mentioned here: Cape May, Crystal Palace, 'Ohana and a lot of people seem to have a problem with Chef Mickey's but we've always found it fine for what it is.

The only breakfast Character meal I didn't like was Tusker House. It was just to conjested and they layout of the tables not conducive to the chracters. The food was fine, but it was not an enjoyable atmosphere.

Like others Cape May breakfast is one of my favorites - good food, great atomosphere...calmer then most character meals

Had breakfast and lunch at Crystal Palce and enjoyed both very much. DS likes the Pooh characters. Most character meals I find have the best food at breakfast, but I really enjoyed the food at Crystal Palace Lunch. IN facg want to go again this year.

Park Fare...did it last year for dinner and didn't like it. Food selection wasn't as good as it sounded...characters were OK.

Unless you have some REAL BIG princess fans, I wasn't impressed with CRT for breakfast. Good thing we were on DxDp - didn't mind using 2 credits. If I had to pay for it I would have thought it was a big rip off.
However, the Princess dinner in Norway was GREAT. Loved the food and the character interation was good. Much better value for your money or TS credit thant CRT.

And then there's Mickey's Backyard BBQ...here the kids get to get up and dance with the characters. They have live country music and it's lots of fun. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken, beans etc. Dessert is a freezer case full Disney ice cream treats (Mickey bars, iskdoodles, etc). And DH's favorite - beer was included in price. It's at fort wilderness. They don't do it every night and it's 2 TS credits if you're on DDP.

I didn't realize it's 2 TS, thanks for mentioning that, it seems a bit much for hotdogs and hamburgers. I wanted to do that one cause it sounds like fun but I don't think we have the extra meals.

We have had really good luck several times for breakfast in HS... Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine. The restaurant wasn't packed, the characters came by several times a piece for conversation/photos, kids got to get up and dance several times. The food was typical buffet food for breakfast, but we have found it a more relaxed character breakfast.

As was mentioned previously... Cape May was great and had really nice waitstaff, Akershus in Epcot was awesome for princesses, we loved Chef Mickey's (again great waitstaff), and Garden Grill was a lot of fun. :)

The only one that really disappointed us was Crystal Palace. I know most people love it, but it was the only restaurant that we finished our meal and still had not seen all of the characters. They brought them over to us so we wouldn't miss them... but felt really crowded and over-whelming to us.

Good Luck !!!
