Character dining swap interest?

I think I've done enough swaps now to venture out into hosting one.

I have so many pictures of character dining and not enough ideas to scrap them with. Is there any interest in doing a swap on character dining or even general Disney Dining? I'd be willing to host (with maybe some questions that the more seasoned hostesses would be willing to answer  )

I would probably open it up on Sunday with a due date of March 3. Any ideas, interest, etc?

This is a great idea, I would be up for it.

Ps. Ohana 4, I love getting swap items you make, they are so awesome!

I have a question: Are you thinking about one general Disney Dining or Character Dining swap where
A. we each make parts of a page so that when we receive them we have the kit for a whole 2-page layout, OR
B. everybody does a whole layout and then we each get back a bunch of layouts, OR
C. something else entirely?

I am interested but don't really need a whole lot of Disney dining pages. If you have a swap, I would like the general Disney dining theme.
Thanks,
Sharon

Oh yes! ::yes:: Great Idea.

I have lots of pictures of different Character meals, Cinderella Royal Table, Beach Club with Goofy and Minnie, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and more.

I'll keep my eye open.

Thank You!

How does a swap work? I have been scrapping a little over the past few months and would love to get some new ideas... but I don't know how this works. More info please.

Thanks!

Amy

Penny- - Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy the swap items. I really love making them...even more so than I have been scrapping anything.

Sharon- - I am still in the beginning phases of thinking about this, but I'm open to ideas. I think when Joy did the Bazzill kit swap, that turned out very nice. But I'm not sure if we would need a whole book's worth of dining pages. So maybe 2 people could team up to do a page like the current MK swap, where one person does the photo mat or frame and the other would do a topper or borders and then both people would do another element of their choice.

What do you gals think? Like I said, I'm open for ideas.

Amy- - Basically, in a swap, a certain number of people participate to make elements for a theme. Say it's a character swap. One person would do Mickey, one would do Goofy, etc. Then, you make as many of your chosen element(s) as there are members in the group. If you chose a photo mat and tag, and there are 10 people in your swap, you would make 10 photo mats and 10 tags of the same kind (ie. Mickey) and then sent everything (including your own set) to the host. The host then distributes everything and sends back one of each to all participants. You would get all the elements for Mickey, Goofy, etc. Does this make any sense? If you have any questions, please ask.
Swaps are really fun, and can build your scrapbooking pages quickly. But they are addictive! :rotfl:

ETA: Oops, posted at the same time. I think doing it like the Magic Kingdom swap is a great idea. That way we don't have too much stuff. Maybe keeping it a little more general would be helpful too, i.e. instead of CRT we could have Princess dining.

I would be interested if the due date was the end of March. I'm in the Magic Kingdom Swap and the due date for that is Feb 28th. If not, I'll try to catch it the next time. :sunny:

I think like that would be perfect, like the MK swap, and we can do with all the differents character meals themes.

I could be up for this one too. I'm getting really addicted to these swaps. LOL I'm also in the MK one so a later due date would be great but I could make it happen with the earlier one. Also the sharing a theme keeps the required items down which is helpful.

I'll keep on the look out for the signups.

Another thought....yikes, that's TWO for today...no wonder I am tired!
Aside from the particular character pages, can you have more general dining topics like "Dining Around Epcot" or something like that, as well?

I'd love to join this swap. I really liked the work I got back from the Bazzill page kit swap. I love being able to just pull that out and throw together a whole page in no time with perfect colors to the theme.

I would be interested as well - I too am doing the MK swap so a later due date would be better - but I'm sure I can make it work. I will look for the sign up.

Spent all day at parents' house with the family, so wasn't able to get the swap sign up ready to go. I'll work on it tonight and have it up by tomorrow. Have a good night everyone! :flower2:
