We did breakfast at Ohana's on our last trip (07)when DS's were 4 and 6 and we REALLY enjoyed that.

I had thought about Liberty Tavern, but since they won't be doing character dining anymore I need some suggestions!

Thanks :flower3:

I'm guessing no princess meals?

Chef Mickey's is always one of our favorites, as is Garden Grill (but now it's only dinner I think)

You can never go wrong at Crystal Palace. There's a lot of playing around by the characters. Pick any time during the day, and you'll have a great meal with great interaction with Pooh & Friends. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I agree on Crystal Palace. Our DD6 and DS3 Loved it. I also have always wanted to try the Garden Grill but have not had the chance yet.

Crystal Palace at MK, and what about Tusker House at Animal Kingdom for Breakfast? We are going to both on our next vacation, and looking forward to all the characters.....Happy Planning.....:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I would go to Crystal Palace. It is one of my favorite buffets at WDW.

:thumbsup2 You guys rock!

Scrappinmom:rotfl2: I WISH!!! So, yes, the princess thing is out of the question. One of these years I may have to kidnap my DN and take her with us so MOMMY can do the princess thing:rolleyes1

Although I enjoy CP, since your oldest boy will be pushing 8 when you go, would you think he might consider it too "little kid" for him with the Pooh characters? I just remember how mine were, they think they are too big for this or that.;)

Chip and Dale at the Garden Grill for dinner would be a great idea. They can be sooo much fun!! Tusker House or Cape May's breakfast would be some other good choices for boys.:)

Chef Mickey's at CR is phenomenal no matter what the age! Everybody will have fun.
I also second the Crystal Palace, some of the best quality food on WDW in my opinion and another fun atmosphere just like Chef Mickey's.

My boys loved eating at Tusker House last year... we had great food and saw the characters so much we had to start turning them away! It was really a lot of fun!

Now, if only they would come up with a good "boy" character restaurant choice... Mine would love a pirates breakfast (wouldn't that be fun: Peter Pan, Cpt. Hook, Jack Sparrow...) So, Disney, if you're reading this... ;)

I think that you'll have a great time wherever you go!

My DGS will be 8 in November..We went to Crystal Palace in August and he still adores the characters!!

You can't go wrong there. The food is good, the atmosphere lovely, the children join a parade with the characters! Go for it!

First - GatorLady - I love the picture in your signature!

When we visited DL last year we had breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked it for WDW next month. They get the kids up and dancing!

My family enjoys Crystal Palace as well. My boys were 9 and 4 last visit, and had a blast. They really enjoy the food here as well. We've done Chef Mickey's, and while it can be a good time, we feel rushed, crowded, and we're not a big fan of the food. Maybe we just have bad timing, but the food seems picked over by the time we get there. We end up having to wait for new platters (which isn't really a bad thing). But, I have to say the atmosphere in Chef Mickey's is great.

Good luck choosing!

Now wouldn't that be a blast to have a boy version of the princess meals!

Either that or someday us Mom's that don't shop down pink isle (unless it is for ourselves:) ) will have to meet at Cindy's for some girl timeprincess:

I would also suggest 1900 Park Fare at the GF.
Very nice buffets (upscale) for breakfast and dinner.

Supercalifragilistic Breakfast
Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter (and we have also seen Pooh)
COST: $18.99/adults; Children 3-9 $10.99; plus tax and gratuity OR 1 TS

Cinderella's Gala Feast
Regulars include Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella
COST: $29.99/adults; Children 3-9 $14.99: Tax and gratuity extra OR 1 TS

You might want to try the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club. It's not as popular as Chef Mickey's so it usually isn't crowded, therefore you don't feel rushed. The buffet had a great selection of foods, and the character interaction was good. When we were there Goofy, Minnie, and Chip stopped by at our table for pictures and autographs.

If you do end up dining here, I'd go on the day you plan to go to Epcot b/c it's in walking distance and you can go through the "back door" entrance. :)

Also, I agree with the PPs, Crystal Palace in MK is a very good choice. We ate lunch there and were very pleased! :cool1:

We had meals at the Crystal Palace and Garden Grill a few weeks ago.

CP was okay. VERY BUSY and I found it chaotic to have a character meal and a buffet. The line was LONG and I missed being at the table when Pooh came by. We saw Eyore (sp?) but he didn't come to our table.

Garden Grill was a great experience for us. (I posted earlier today about how much we enjoyed it). They have Chip, Dale, Farmer Mickey, and Pluto. All of us loved it.

Cape May was cute, my kids love Chef Mickey's, crystal Palace is great too. My son enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for breakfast , I have DD but it had Alice, the Mad Hatter who was great, Pooh and Tigger, the food is great if you are looking for something different.

We like Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. Chef Mickey's breakfast is more reasonably priced and the food is fine, we weren't thrilled with the dinner food or character interaction at that time. (Both were better at breakfast for us)

Crystal Palace has been good for both lunch and dinner for us. We've not gotten to do it for breakfast yet.
