Character Dining Question

I was looking around the Disney site and noticed that they have 'character dining' and 'premium character dining' but I couldn't see anything to say what the difference was and where you needed to use them. What is the difference between the two?

We are planning to take DS to Disney's PCH Grill for his character breakfast so which option would we need to arrange as we are pre-paying for everything when we book (either on tomorrow or Monday).

I just paid for PCH grill "surfs up" about 10 minutes ago. Best deal is on get away today and it is regular character dining not the premium. I posted about it a few posts down. I also asked get away today, today, if you needed a date on the vouchers you print out and they said no. Just make reservations and present the voucher to the ticket booths at disney upon arrival to get your official tickets.

And the reply I received from get away today:

Hi Amber, great question. The tickets do not need to be the same date as the reservation. Your tickets are basically your form of payment, so you just need to pick them up before your character dining experience. You can pick them up when you get your park tickets either at the gate or at the hotel if you are staying on property. If you have any other questions, would love to help. 855-GET-AWAY
