This is kind of a duplicate thread to the 4yo thread but I have two kids DD6 and DS8 and I want to find the best affordable dining experience for them. I am taking them to the Princess Storybook lunch on the 3rd day of our trip, pretty much for DD6. I thought it would be nice to throw one more in there for DS8 without getting too expensive. Kind of prefer in park over in resort but I can be flexible. One day that is sitting kind of open is our final night. We will be at AK that day with nothing really to do that night.

What say you DISers?

character dinners than breakfasts. A couple you might consider are Chef Mickey's which has Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy and Crystal Palace if you have park hoppers which has Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. I don't know what you consider affordable. Dinners usually cost eight to ten dollars more than breakfast.

Another option that is less expensive is to add the Tusker House breakfast. You might be able to add it before park opening and not mess up your touring plans.

Sine you are going to AK that day...how about Tusker House breakfast buffet. Great food and good character interaction. My son loves this one and it must every trip for him.

Another vote for the Tusker House breakfast. We ate here on our last trip and it was one of our family favorites! We will be going back on our next trip too.

We haven't actually been to Tusker House since it's been turned into a character meal, but if it is anything like the old Breakfastosaurus then that would be my pick! We are going to try Tusker House next month and I've heard really wonderful things about the food. :) Plus you will be at that park that day.. However..

Since I haven't tried it myself, I'm reluctant to suggest it.. I would suggest the character breakfast at 'Ohana. It's the best friend's breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. The character interaction is awesome! And I love the fact that the food is served family style. To me there aren't too many things better than having a cup of coffee in the morning while looking at Cinderella castle. :cloud9: Plus they have games for the kids. Just lots of fun!

Whatever you pick.. Have an awesome trip! :thumbsup2

Then theres always the Crystal Palace ressies before the park opens or any of the b'fasts for that matter, its the coolest thing to go into the parks on the way to the rest, with virtually no one in the park!

Enjoy:wizard:

I have given Tusker breakfast some thought. I was kind of avoiding it just because we did it in 2008. It was great but it drove me nuts that my kids only ate cereal and donuts. Felt like I wasted money because of that.

If I do go there though, I am inclined to do a late breakfast over an early one just because of the things I have heard about the character interaction being better. What is the latest breakfast res you can make there.

Also, it doesn't have to be just that day. It can be any day but May 29th really. Here is our schedule...

Arrival day at noon May 26. MK
May 27 DHS
May 28 MK
May 29 Epcot and Princess Storybook lunch
May 30 mini break day and spectro wishes
May 31 Epcot
June 1 AK
June 2 morning at MK then fly home.
