Going to DL in August with DH, DMIL, DD8, DD2, DD1 and I am really struggling on which character dining to attend. I would like to do the breakfast but do not want to lose park time that early in the morning unless it is really really worth it. My dd2 loves the princesses and any of the playhouse characters (morning cartoon characters) and of course dd8 will be cool with whatever. We did the princess dinner a few years ago, wasn't super great but I would still do it for my dd2. My picks are, Minnie and friends, Princess breakfast, lunch or dinner, Goofy's Kitchen.

All you experts give me your opinion.

breakfest id do minnies try to do it on a MM day if you can you might be able to get in with out a MM ticket that day to eat and by the time your done the park should be open.
Or do the brekfest with the princess thats what were doing in stead of lunch with them now just think the food looks better.
If you were to do dinner id say goffys. Have fun

We just did lunch w/the Princesses at Ariel's Grotto this month with a 5 yr old who is obsessed with the princesses. Frankly, it was just okay, don't know if it was really worth it. Having done Goofy's kitchen many times and never been disappointed I would vote for that, especially with the age group you have.

I would say Minnie's at the Plaza Inn. The food is good, not a far trek, and lots of character interaction! This is our favorite one (we've also been to Goofy's and it was just okay for us - dinner though, not breakfast).

I love Minnie's. That's where we had beakfast on our last two trips. But next trip I'm planning on trying Lilo and Stich's breakfast which I believe is at PPH.

We just did all three of these in May. We are all about the character meals. We have done most of them at DW too & We LOVE the Minnie Breakfast. There is so many characters. Plus they give the kids a balloon & a button & it is still the cheapest.

I loved Minnie's Character Breakfast! :lovestruc My family got to meet a lot more characters than at Ariels. Each time I went to Ariel's the princesses did not seem to stay as long as the characters at Minnies. The service at Ariel's was also not the best the first time I went; but at Minnie's you don't have to worry about servers (that is why I love buffet style baby  ) I also personally think that the food at the Plaza Inn is really really delicious! ::yes::

I like Minnie's. I schedule it on a MM day for about 10 a.m. That gives us plenty of time to play and then sit and eat once we're worn out and hungry. Then we don't have to hoof it all the way to the DLH for the meal. We can instead sit outside and enjoy the view of the castle and the hustle and bustle of Disneyland. :wizard:

You could also do Storyteller's at GCH, and then use the hotel entrance to DCA (if you are staying on Disney property), which is like 20 feet away if i remember correctly. Then your travel time to DCA is almost nil and you can go from breakfast straight to a park. Goofy's Kitchen was also very good!! Loads of food variety and great character interaction! Then afterwords just walk through DTD and catch the monorail into DL
