What does everyone think the best character dining experience would be for 2 adults. I am going in Oct with a friend to do the 5k Kohmen walk. We are trying to decide on a character meal. We need to see Mickey but can also see him at the Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill. Your opinions would be great!!

You are going to get votes for them all. If Mickey is 'THE' character you need to see and you are going to the GG, pick the one with food that best suits your personal tastes.

My recommendation would be a Palace Princess Breakfast. The atmosphere is one-of-a-kind in the Parks and the characters are wonderful!! The costumes alone are worth it.

If you're going to character interaction, I think our favorites have been Chef Mickey's and the Garden Grill (dinner). We're usually not in for character interaction, rather just the food, but at these two places they've been very attentive even though we're two 20-somethings.

That said, I haven't been to a princess breakfast yet, and I'm dying to. We're going to try for CRT for our birthdays in September, but I'll have to see if I can get DBf to go to Norway's earlier than that.

Liberty Tree Tavern (Minnie, Meeko, Chip, Dale, Pluto) has great character interaction, as well as food (characters at dinner only). Though the food isn't great (though some will disagree), the Pooh characters at Crystal Palace are fun. Also, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Suzi, Perla, and sometimes, Prince Charming are at 1900 Park Fare at the GF.

I recently returned from a solo trip, and though I hadn't planned character dining alone as an adult, I ended up meeting friends at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast to celebrate their daughter's birthday. This is definitely a character breakfast I would recommend to adult-only parties. I've done the 'Ohana breakfast and Chef Mickey dinner with my kids, and the atmosphere at the 1900 Park Fare breakfast was just more grown up. Kids will adore it, too, but the restaurant is decorated like a turn of the century "garden room" with lots of open lighting and muted colors. The characters there the day we went were Mary Poppins & Bert, Alice in Wonderand, and Pooh & Eeyore. Mary & Bert especially were really great with the adult-only crowd. though when I was waiting all alone for 20 minutes for the rest of my party to show up, the hug from Eeyore made my day!:sunny: I saw lots of kid-free groups eating here and the Grand Floridian was an absolutely amazing resort to stroll around in after breakfast. I think and adult-only group would be very happy having a character meal here. Oh, the food was really good, too!:D

Donald's Breakfastosaurus (sp?) in the Animal Kingdom is a pretty adult friendly character breakfast...and it has all the classic characters (aka the "big 5"). Dining is buffet style.
