HI
I was wondering if there is any character dining that has pirates or the guys from toy story?
I would love to have some sort of special dining experience for my six year old boy.
We went five years ago and did the CRT for my dd.
Thanks

Askerhaus belive it or not..my DS6 loved it last year. I was really surprised. He fell for Ariel, we tease him all the time about his "girlfriend"..

No pirates or toy story as of yet.
Winnie the Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace
Mickey and Friends at Chef Mickeys
Mickey Goofy and Chipmunks at Garden Grill
Mickey Donald Goofy and Daisy at Tusker House Breakfast
Lilo and Stitch at Ohana Breakfast
These are just a few. My DS likes the breakfast at Tusker House. His suggestion last year and the restaurant he picked again this year, and he is almost 11.

no pirates or TS characters (yet), but your DS might enjoy the tusker house breakfast. mickey, donald, goofy and daisy are dressed in their safari clothes and the food is great. even my picky DH loved it and wants to go back!

We did the TH breakfast and my DS11 loved it. He even got in the parade around the room.

There must be a common notion that parents of boys don't spend money or something! You get one rack out of ten with boys' clothes on it at the stores...and no character meals at Disney! It took a while after the opening of the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique before they even started to do the pirate "makeovers." Its just not fair! (Although, I'm incredibly blessed in every other sense to be a mom of a boy.)

Let's cross our fingers for a pirate dinner or TS dinner!

A pirate meal would be awesome. My son fell for Snow White after getting a huge kiss from her at Akershus.

This is why we don't do character meals any more. We done chef mickeys, ohana, tusker house enough. My boys are 7 and 9 and it's shame they don't have anything geared towards boys that age. It's like Disney is saying we have the Princess for the girls, Universal can have the boys. I really wish they would see the enconomic potenial.

Skip a meal and take him to The Pirate's League for a pirate makeover. We did it with my daughter, and she loved it.

I second Princess Story Book Breakfast,It is a Must,I have a 4 yr old son & he has been going 2 PSB since he was 2 & he LOVES it ,Prince Evan LOVES the LADIES & The LADIES @PSB LUV HIM when he goes he even wears his Gold Crown!

My son will have nothing to do with the princesses :rotfl: Refuses to go to a princess character meal, princes or not.

He loves Ohanas, Tusker House (they are his favourites) and he also likes Chef Mickeys, but when asked which restaurant he would like to have breakfast at on our first morning he chose Ohanas.

Thanks for the great ideas.
My son won't go for the princess meal. The only girls he likes is me and sometimes his sister.;)
My daughter is too "old" for the princesses.
I will probably do some sort of meal with Mickey and go over to Pirates League for a pirate make over.
I just wanted something special for him because last time we went he was just a year and a half so he doesn't remember anything.
I don't think he will care one way or another. I just have to get over this mother guilt thing. Plus I have another boy who is two who won't remember anything either.:rotfl:

I know this isn't a character meal but we are taking my son to Coral Reef. He loves fish. Maybe just find something he is really interested in and find a way to incorporate that. We are taking DS3 and DD2 and we are having more difficulty finding something for DD than DS. DD isn't really interested in anything, although she likes getting her hair and makeup done so we are doing BBB. DS, on the other hand, loves fish, animals, Mickey Mouse, fireworks etc so there are a lot of things to interest him whereas not so much for DD.

Good luck finding somewhere suitable. I know what you mean about mommy guilt, I had it but the other way around until I decided to do BBB for my DD.

No pirates, no Toy Story. But Ohana has Mickey and Stitch at breakfast.

My DS6 wants to go to Chef Mickey's again. So we are going to dinner there, Donald's Safari Breakfast/Tusker House (we have never been, but they have Mickey) and is okay with Crystal Palace (breakfast, never been). He is excited about all three, but would be over the top if there was a toy story meal. I have a DD5, too and he is not excited about going to the princess meals, and wants no princess kisses this year. He was fine with it last year :confused3 I know he is just getting older. Enjoy your trip.

On behalf of all the boys and tomboys out there, I think we should all email Disney with our demands for a Pirate and Toy Story character meal!!!

If your son likes Lilo and Stitch the Best Friends Breakfast at 'Ohana is wonderful! Besides having great character interaction the food was the best breakfast we had during our trip. Stitch and Pluto were very funny and definitely playing the part. :thumbsup2 Loved it and can't wait to go back next year.

There was a rumor that Hollywood and Vine (Play and Dine) was going to be Phineas and Ferb someday. That would be awesome, or ToyStory..perfect location for one of these. I have also heard people say the (often closed) El Pirata y el Perico in Adventureland would be a great place for a Pirate meal!!

As a mother of boys-I agree with PP about a lack of boy options, clothing, etc. The upcoming princessification of Fantasyland is another example...

My boys love any meal with Pluto, Goofy and/ or Mickey:
1) Chef Mickey for breakfast
2) Ohana for breakfast
3) Garden Grill for dinner
4) Tusker for breakfast

*They hate the idea of princess meals and would never do the Norway meal. We did the 1900 Park Fare breakfast and did not like that because it had "grils". No girls except for Daisy and Minnie. They have made that clear to us.
