Character dining -Best option

Breakfast at Akershus is great, and if you're on the DP you only have to burn one meal instead of the two for CRT. We even lucked out and Cinderella was there. Our girls went nuts when they saw her because we had been warning them that she may not be there. The breakfast, unlike lunch and dinner, is a more standard, American breakfast buffet.

Mickey and gang's antics at Chef Mickey's were very entertaining for all, but I wasn't that impressed with the buffet.

Crystal Palace is a must for us each visit. Character interaction is great - They always take their time with our three kids and allow us to take multiple pictures. Bonus is buffet is pretty good too.

Garden Grill by far. My daughter saw all of the characters (Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey)at least twice, and they were wonderful. Sometimes they came two at a time and were joking around with her and each other. She had a blast and still talks about it a lot, almost a year later. The food was pretty good too! Just ask for a lower-level table so you can get a good view as the restaurant rotates.

Loved 1900 Park Fare - we want to do dinner again! This time with the Villans! Breakfast at Akerhaus - very good food and princesses. Chef Mickey's was fun. Cape May was fun and good food. CRT just eating in the castle was a blast.

1900 Park Fare hasn't had their Villains dinner in a LONG time... although many (including myself) think it would be a lot of fun. The stepsisters at the dinner now though are a HOOT and worth the price of admission!

We have been to quite a few character meals and here is my take on them:

Chef Mickey's - have been to both breakfast and dinner and prefer breakfast if just based on food. We went here the night we arrived on our last trip and it was a great way to kick off the vacation. Just a classic to me. And the kids love seeing the monorail go through the hotel.

Akerhus - been twice and the first time the character interaction was better. No one in our party (of 5) loved the food and we will skip it next time.

Crystal Palace - Great choice. Character interaction is good and there was something for everyone food wise. We went for dinner both times and once was before the Merry Christmas Party.

1900 Park Fare - We went for dinner last time and loved the step sisters. The character interaction was the best out of every single character meal we ate at over 2 different trips. Without a doubt we will be returning. Oh and the food was the best of all character meals.

Hollywood & Vine - had breakfast here and the kids liked it. We had a very early seating and it was a nice way to start the day in the park. Character interaction was great.

Tusker House - We had a reservation before park opened and the kids loved walking through Animal Kingdom before everyone else was there. On a side note we want to do this for Crystal Palace next trip. Good food and good character interaction. Finished breakfast and got right on the safari.

Cape May - we stayed at the beach club when we went here and it was nice to have a character meal for breakfast without having to travel at all. Food was good and character interaction was very good. Would definitely consider going again.

Next trip we want to try Cinderella's Castle (if not for anything else then the experience of eating in the castle).

Thanks to all who took the time to post to this thread. The info is priceless. Now I have lots of decisions to make!
Thanks!
